That little HPS is pretty cute for the price. Does it run MH? Would be a fun light for a smaller veg cab. Imo 6x23w cfl > 150w MH > 150w cfl. 150w MH is a bit less haste than the 6x23w CFLs if you can handle the heat.

dam that is awsome Bluejeans, how long you gonna let alice veg for ?

i am currently tracking another friends journal and he also named one of his plants Alice....kinda funny :)
LOL, that is funny... Well funny you should ask about Alice 2 cuz I just put her into flower tonight! I decided she's vegged long enough. I topped her a couple of times about 10 days ago so she is all set and ready. I had to get a bigger box (cuz the grow room is full and her grow box was getting that way too. She was cut from her mom, Alice, 55 days ago today.

Heres she is (on the right) along with her box mate, Vanilla Kush.

Yea man, SCROG seems to be the way to go. Thats the way I'm going to try my first indoor. I SCROG about all of my outdoor plants to a certain degree. Usually plant into the fencerow and weave the limbs horizontal as they grow. End up with some wicked looking outdoor plants and good yields. I started mine this past season under light for the first time. Used four 23w CFL veg bulbs. Topped them the Uncle Ben way to get four main colas. They made some great starts. I feel CFL is the most efficient way to go at least the first part of vegging even if you're running HID.

wow, crazy what you can do with a little TLC, she looks great. you going to keep any clones? i have been following a thread the guys is trying to keep clones in fridge for 60 days, i think hes at 5 weeks now.

https://www.rollitup.org/advanced-marijuana-cultivation/485984-experiment-keeping-clones-fridge-over.html

so you could waitt ill all is harvested. not sure if its going to root for the guy or not just waiting to find out.
I have to admit I thought the idea of taking a clone a week or so before harvest was insane. But newbies will often do whatever some experienced sounding person tells them to do. I trusted the guy who told me to do it so I did, without a clue what to expect. I had never cut a clone in my life. I have since determined that I was right on my game to trust this guy, not only in this, but I'd trust anything he told me to do with my plants. So there is great help to be found here on RIU.

As for keeping further clones, I've decided no. I have lots and lots of things I want to grow and I have a few seeds now that I can't wait to pop. Coupled with extremely limited growing space, and I just have to make some decisions. I know that I will never have "Alice" again after this, but there are plenty of awesome strains out there just waiting for me to grow them.

lots of great updates! hoping to see some bud pictures soon!
hopefully, im gettin impatient waiting for some pollen sacs/pistols here. still no signs but i guess the plant continuing to vegg isnt such a bad thing. the more i can fill up my screen the better at this point.
by the end of the day im hoping to have 6 tops through. i fed them yesterday with a 10-52-10 fertilizer , just a small dose less than 14/ strength and they seemed to like it so next feeding i will probally do 1/2 strength and see where that gets me.

yeah m anxious to get this screen filled and see what the outcome is, have never done ScROG and i was actually debating using this screen for a while but eventually said fuck it and tossed it in there.

i have one more plant that is not setup to grow into the screen and i think im going to just leave it alone for now, if i get a bad ratio of females ill tuck it under the screen but if i get a good ratio im going to just grow it out the way it is.

i just wasnt sure if you wanted to keep the strain around. i cant wait to order some beans myself and i think once i get some feminized beans im going to do an ultimate LST ScROG with one of the freebies that i will grow alongside my perpetual. im really hoping i can find some Blue Cheese to grow.

Update: i now have 5 tops through, hoping for a sixth by the end of the day. fed a weak dose of 10-52-10 yesterday and they seem to have responded well to it so in about 4-5 days i will increase the strength a bit providing i see no ill effects in the meantime.

Haha, an "ULTIMATE LST ScROG"! I like it bro! I'm running a blue cheese and a blue dream next my next go. Both bagseed of course. The blue cheese was so Fucking good. Didn't have any blue hues to it, smelled like stupid fruity blueberries, but the taste was a heavy heavy cheesy explosion on my pallet :). Wish it would have has the cheese smell too! Maybe that will come out in the pheno I get!

for the ultimate LST ScROG i will be growing 1 plant in a 30 gal rubbermaid tote, it will be feminized so i can start the LST process early and vegg as long as i want without worying about all that work and getting a male

Loving the bell pepper. I picked up some herb and veggie seeds (lettuce, Sage, Rosemary, basil etc) from my local nursery and I'm going to add those after Xmas..

the first pic is my smallest cucumber that seems to be way behind the other cucmber plant, i have tied it down 3 times.
the second pic is the first bell pepper plant i started, its a little further ahead of the one in my cab because it has been growing about a week longer. the one in my cab was a fluke sprout i transplanted for shits and giggles. it is starting to develop its 2nd set of true leaves...YAY!!

the third pic is my tomato plant

and the fourth pic is the biggest cucmber, i just LST it for the first time today

Edit: oh and check out the nute burn on the first pic from the "Hot" soil.
