From Sunleaves website: SAFETY DATA SHEET states the following warning:

Delayed: Potential for exposure to spores of Histoplasma capsulatum if fine dust is inhaled, causing potential for chronic lung infection Histoplasmosis.

Cite: "file:///C:/Users/guide/Downloads/SDS%202017%20SL%20Jamaican%20Natural%20Fertilizer.pdf"

If you want to know about histoplasmosis Google it to Wikipedia. If you use bat guano use a mask and find a substitute.

My dog poops too. the main thing with organic soil ferts is to slightly dampen them prior to mixing and then you wont inhale all the crap. The disease mentioned is probably more likely from cave exploring or working in the cave picking up poop. Just dampen the shit when you add it to the soil and you wont inhale it.

Anyone know if you can substitute raw nutrients like powders, to make up for the high P in some bat guano?

I tend to use bat guano to increase things other than the nitrogen, which is fine if you select the right variety.

But the dust issue does worry me when mixing soil that has bat guano.

Aside from that, there's also how it's mined. Apparently in many places, it isn't good for the bats when they take it.

Yep, bat guano seems to be bad stuff. Can anyone recommend a cheap source of -PK dry nutrients that will be readily available to a 2 month old plant? And not an animal product like bone or blood meal.

Here's a picture of what I consider the most efficient way to process marijuana, although it's a little expensive because of the dry ice and alcohol. I've been making this stuff since the 70s, although without the refined knowledge now available on the net.

Result is so strong you can easily hallucinate, but so mild it won't hurt your lungs as much as a day of smog out here in California. I predict a lot more of such concentrates will become available in California when they start giving out licenses next year.

Here's how to you make this (obvious) extract. Best to work with 3 plants at once, but one plant should yield you 2-3 grams of this hash, plus some left over high quality kief.

Make a dry ice 73uM kief extraction with the pot. But don't worry about getting more, stop at the slightest hint of green coming out. You aren't going to waste what's left on the weed, and you get more kief than oil, so feel free to stop early.

Extract the left over pot with 99.9% isopropyl alcohol. Use the dry ice to get the cold liquid so as to reduce water solubles from getting in. Careful drying the liquid, you can start a fire if you are impatient.

Should get about 2:1 kief/oil. Mix equal amounts kief to oil in a petri dish and heat to 250F to make the oil fluid enough to mix. Use a round toothpick to mix, it's easy to get the sticky stuff off the end. Keep heating for 20 minutes total to decarboxylate.

You should be able to knead the result with your fingers without getting too much stuck. The idea is to be able to form little balls. If it's too sticky, mix in more kief.

One ounce of pot makes about 2-3 grams of this stuff. Dosage for the average person is a b-b sized ball, for jamaican bats, maybe a pea size. Always form a ball shape for smoking!

If you don't, you'll learn why.

Why make it? Nothing is lost and it's near to the strongest extract you'll find. A lot stronger than the finest bud.

Due to the heating stage, you can melt this with a chocolate bar and get a very excellent pot chocolate hunk. Just be careful with the dosage at first. Takes a while to activate, and you might chow down on the rest before you realize how strong it was. Once it takes effect, hide the chocolate.

i have an older friend with copd.she worked in greenhouses for most of her life.never wore a mask mixing soil, planting seeds, transplanting etc.promix was the only thing she ever used.working around any of this stuff (soil, soilless, guanos) wirtout a mask is a risk you take.im not going to worry about going through a pound of guano a season.

What product doesn't come with warning labels? When you buy a cup of coffee it has a warning that it's hot, not because it's dangerous it's because people are dumb. Companies have to cover their ass from potential lawsuits. Unless you're sniffing lines of the shit I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. If you're worried about what goes into your body google what the fda allows in your food.

I'm trying to make a commercial soil for individual grow kits, to sell legally in California. I've already got a great soil design for autoflower dwarfs, but removing the bat guano, even if it's superstitious, sounds like a marketing benefit. I already left out bone and blood meal in case some vegans object. A

Here's a Northern Lights I pulled from my grow room this morning. Only 9 inches tall! Has about 35 grams of potential finished buds plus 50-100 clone seeds on 2 side branches.NL_1G.jpg seeds on 2 side branches.

Switched to fish bone meal in April 2016. Excellent amendment approximately 6-20-0 for a boost in flower. Porcine bone meal at about 6-9-0 also very effective. I have not tried seabird guano.

I was surprised to see how attitudes have changed here in California. I attended a family gathering with old people and grandchildren this weekend.

There was a marijuana plant growing right next to the dinner table, in the atrium. It was a pathetic looking LowRyder. Avoid growing outdoors if you can. Those Levin lights will blow away sunshine for autoflower plants, maybe just because you can them 24 hours.

There's a new California petition collecting signatures right now, to legalize shrooms. Maybe in the long run California will end up selling absinthe in the liquor stores. Or maybe that old Roman invention, "bitter" wine.
