Banana Kush

I'm gonna post some updates here hopefully I get some of that banana flavor that I remember from way back in the day. I'll admit it must have been 15 years or so since I've had anything banana related so my memory might not be so great. From what I recall, the buds were bright green colored and obviously that fruity banana smell.

Here are some of the Best Coast banana. Some variegation on the leaves not sure if that's a banana thing, just this particular pheno or hlvd? Or if they are mad at me for going on vacation and leaving them unattended in a bin. The lab results should be coming in a few days so I'll see about that.

I've been on the lookout for a good banana as well. There are many crosses that I've seen but I want as close to the source as possible. I just popped some Banana Kush from Best Coast seeds and banana coffee from California seedbank - although that one isn't really what I'm going for but it was a freebie so why not?

There was also a pack of c banana that I popped as well. Here some pics
I’m still looking for Dankonomics IBL and I have another pack of Nachos F4 coming in. I will get to these soon but I have a couple projects in front of this one.

good luck with you’re project. If you find anything nice shoot me a DM.

Yes Dutch passion is one of the oldest seedbanks and the banana blaze is on my list. It makes sense too because back then everyone still bought from Attitude mostly.

Mainly cos banana isnt a common one in cannabis ime as fruity flavours go the most common in my experience is lemon or citrus type stuff more than anything else so the fact only so many strains with that profile were around back in the day made me wonder if its related to the one you seeking
anyway bud i hope you find what your looking for mate

Yeah man thanks. To you as well and let me know if any of those has the flavor seems we are both looking for.

I been out of the loop for quite a while and it seems like there's lots of great stuff out there. I just checked out Nacho and damn what a lineup. Might have to pick some up.

That kid in Oregon can be gotten ahold of banana og cuts for about a grand some swear by it
I know many probably wouldnt think like i do but paying for cuts is ridiculous to me its a snip lol cuts should always be free you just return the favour or give em a oz for a tray or something where im from thats how we always do/did it cos its greed plain and simple in my eyes if someone is charging way over the odds for cuts sure you will get some folks saying its an investment and i get that it can be if its not carrying some bad stuff with it but still the more we encourage people like that the worse it will get imo

Jaws Banana Kush F9 is a recent drop make from gear originally given to him by Orgnkid meaning Banana OG. All on Overgrow. He is working it more toward the Sagmartha 60/40.

Banana OG is a cross of Ghost OG x Sagmartha 60/40

Sagmartha 60/40 was just bulk stock given to someone maybe Orgnkid from Sagmartha Seeds back in the day.

Ghost OG the thread go on about this strain.

Banana Kush was circulated in the late 90’s early 2000’s where several Europe breeders started using this cut in there crosses. Anesia Seeds for example in their Banana Mac but this is a separate variant. Like I said back then most people bought seeds from places like attitude because forum activity was much lower and hightimes. Mostly hightimes maybe.

Dankonomics was the first person to enter any strain named Banana Kush into a cup but when I was studying this he specifically mentions it was just a local clone he acquired in Colorado or Cali I can’t remember off the top of my head.

Back in the 90s Sensi seeds dropped a strain they only held on market for one year this is also used by several european breeders

The amount of gear available for verifiable work with orgnkids banana og is very high. Jaws, Skunkhouse, Relentless, Nacho El, Symbiotic etc.
Same for early cut Banana and Banana Kush variants through European breeders.

Banana OG is suppose to be a great breeder.

Bodhi made a Banana OG cross called Banana Spliff, definitely potent.

Thanks for all the info! So glad I bought that pack as Banana OG is what I'm after! I've had several crosses of it and loved them all so I want to try it by itself and maybe use it for my own breeding work

Not Banana OG.
Have been looking for years, also if someone else can give me a more definitive background on the strain while I try to piece it together. I first tried the strain in Phoenix, AZ about 15 years ago and it definitely came from Cali, anyone growing it around them know the Breeder? Can’t get a reply back from either Orgnkid or Dankonomics. I know jaws and dank have ibls of banana Kush but out of stock everywhere I can find. I’ve tried 4 clone varieties and nothing compares so if you know a place with a verified cut that would be awesome. I don’t want a hybrid, I don’t feel like paying 100s of dollars to have to work 4 seeds with that pheno type into F2s, an IBL, F2+, or BX_. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hope everyone has a great day.

So how did that banana hunt turn out?

I have a few in week 3 right now. Theyre all growing strong and looking great, the banana kush has kind of a fruity kushy stem rub smell. Much more on the kushy side. The C Banana though, that oens got a sstraight up banana candy/laffy taffy smell. Really excited about that one.

Just purchased Jawz Gears Banana Kush/OG F9....anyone have info on it?....I really love Banana OG and crosses of it....hoping for something close to the Banana OG
It would be great to hear from anyone who has firsthand experience growing out Jaws Banana Kush IBL of any generation.

Jaws recently said himself that the chances of finding anything with candy banana terps in his F9s are "hit and miss."

I've trawled through threads going back a decade and I think his BK IBL project has lacked direction. He's acknowledged as far back as 2016 that people want candy banana terps when they buy this line. With all due respect to Jaws as a good person: I'm seeing low plant counts, lazy selections and untested seeds being released.

He does have some good strains but when I read some of his posts it has turned me off from buying any of his new releases. See image below, he still put that Durban x Blueberry Cookies out for sale smdh. I have the F8's but found a candy banana flavor from Honey Bananas crosses.

That's wild; never wants to grow it again because it was hermie garbage yet makes a cross of it and gives it to his customers; unreal.

I have many of his strains and really like his work.....but on IG sometimes he comes off like a real fucking dickhead lol

After seeing this though I'm not buying anymore of his stuff.

He’ll like a post on IG, but I can’t get him to answer a genetics question one lol. I bought a few packs at half price this last sale. I hadn’t seen this info above though. I actually like the creamier, banana/plantain taste on the banana, I give up looking due to potency issues. Good luck on the endeavor
