Just 2 minutes worth of digging reveals that at one point during his lifelong criminal career we have this incident, which was before the 4 your prison stint he recently served for trafficking:

"Records obtained by The Associated Press on Tuesday show that when Crutcher was ordered to exit the vehicle for a pat-down search, he began making a movement to his right ankle before an officer managed to get control of Crutcher. A .25-caliber pistol was found in his right sock, the arresting officer wrote in an affidavit."

Ahhh didn't catch the window being rolled up. I stand corrected and thanks for pointing that out, totally changes my view on the situation. I honestly thought he was tazed and then decided it would be a good idea to start rummaging through his truck.

I just read the rest of your post... Are you fucking serious? Are you really rooting around in this guy's record to see if the police were justified in gunning him down?

Go shoot yourself. I suspect you are breaking the law in some way and should die.

As I mentioned above, I mistakenly thought he was rooting around his truck post taze after deciding to head back to the truck in the first place. Even with that understanding I felt it was over the top but my point was that maybe it shouldn't be lumped into the assassination bucket. Now that I know the window was down, yeah this was murder to be certain...

What about the rest of your post? Why is his 1995 arrest being brought up? Did the police know who he was? Did they look up his 21 year old arrest?

My dogs killed my neighbors cat that came into my back yard. I buried the remains and kept silent. I guess I will now be shot to death for my crime. I did however help get them a puppy months later.

I mentioned the arrest because I was wondering what in the hell was in the cops minds when approaching him guns armed like that in the first place. His arrest entails him reaching for a weapon in a previous incident, how can that not be applicable regardless if it was the day before or years ago?

The following factors led to my initial opinion:

1. Guy has reached for a weapon in the past with police.
2. Guy disobeys orders (unless by some otherworldly reason the police say "ok sir walk back to your truck").
3. Guy reaches into truck after being tazed.
4. Forum member claims this to be the litmus test if there ever was one.

The only factor that led me to believe that this might not be be the best candidate for the "litmus test" is item 3. Now knowing that was wrong changes everything man.

Lastly, I dig world of tanks.

No he was not rolling the window up. It was already up which make the police a lying POS, when they said he was reaching inside the car window. Bitch police was to ready to pull that trigger to quickly

For sure. You can see the glare & reflection from the glass in the video pretty easily. My attention was drawn to his body which is why I didn't even notice the window being up at first.

Seems to me that there is a lot of controversy over his actions regarding the window. You really have to believe the police when the facts are in dispute. They have training.
