Back at it - V12 Strain-Unknown Cross-CFL/VIPARSPECTRA 900W LED Closet/Tent Grow

V12 update

• Day 67 from seed
• Day 8 of 12/12
• Identified two males, they're now removed
• Identified two females, both are the two strongest plants in the tent, took one additional clone from each female
• 5 plants remain, 3 still unidentified
• Defoliated on Day 66

• plants are responding well to LST

General Update

• Removed the intake fan and replaced it with a box fan in the tent
• With more space in the tent now I'm moving the clones to the tent until the tent light cycle shuts off to expose them to the better lighting. The plants are being moved back to the veg closet

V12

• Day 69
• With some much needed help (Santa Clause strikes again!) I've identified the best two females, all other V12 plants (those in the veg closet space as well) have been destroyed
• The two females were moved to 5 gallon fabric pots
• The two females were moved back to an 18/6 cycle on day 68 and will be vegged again until the end of June
• The females will be referred to as V12E & V12L respectively moving forward
• The two females were tied down
• V12 L's main cola snapped during the tie down process, using tape to heal the plant back to the stalk

White Lavender

• Day 46
• Not much growth
• Have stopped LST to observe growth progress without stress

Clones

• All clones have been discarded except for the clones taken from the two remaining V12 plants.
• There is one clone from each plant only
• Clones have taken root and are beginning to grow within their 4 inch containers

General

• All plants are in the tent for now due to the 18/6 cycle
• Eliminated the closet grow space for now
• Learned how to repurpose soil
• Learned how to massage roots to help with transplant shock
• Dehumidifier will be in place for flowering phase beginning in July

Less is more for me as of right now, with the reduced amount of plants I feel this grow has much more potential. With the new lights, increase in pot size, correct feeding, manicuring, training, and the extended veg cycle I'm pushing it but I believe I can work this strain to reach close to at least 8 ounces dry per plant. It's a lofty goal but all factors lean towards a larger yield and I'm bullish on this strain as one of the remaining two females seems like a can't miss mother plant. • Day 72 from seed
• Due to my cola tops already producing heavy pistils I have cancelled vegging until July, the plants spent 4 days on an 18/6 cycle and have returned to 12/12 cycle
• Day 2 of 12/12 cycle
• Plants are looking great
• 78-86 degrees fahrenheit
• 57-73 humidity
  • Very much a concern due to mold issues from last grow

White Lavender

• Day 49 from seed
• Now on a sunlight and grow light schedule
  • 12 kingbrite 240W QB
  • 6 Sunlight, getting sunlight during peak sunlight hours daily

General

• Dehumidifier on the way
• Due to the following expectations for yield have decreased to 2-3 ounces (original goals were 6-8 oz per plant) per plant due to the following
  • Current humidity issues
  • Beginning 12/12 then returning to 18/6 too late into the pre-flowering process, then returning to 12/12 resulting in plant stress
  • Transplanting from 2 gallon pots into 5 gallon fabric pots 7 days into flowering
• Clones are doing really well

• Clones doing ok, 1 plant is doing much better then the other

• Looks like this run will be an 9 week flowering cycle minimum
  • Earliest harvest date is 8/17/20
• Good growth based on last reported pics

• Identified future mother
  • 1st set of clones taken
• Will be moving forward with one plant post V12 harvest

General

• Humidity varying between 51-70 daily with dehumidifier active
• Temperature varying between 79-87 daily
• Have been placing all plants in sunlight for
  • V12-4 hours per 12 hours of light
  • WL-9 hours per 18 hours of light

Results

• V12
  • Mold spotted on one plant, used peroxide solution but it didn't work, removed from tent and moved to sunlight growing only
  • Plant began slowing growth, mold spotted on other plant, both plants growth slowed and plants died despite watering, drying out medium, plant seemed like nothing could stop plant death. Baffled

  • Threw out all containers used in the grow
  • Threw out all soil used in all plants during grow

Disappointed but that's life, fingers crossed new grow will be successful
