OK, so I have 3 Hindu Kush girls ... one is 13 weeks old and the other two are 11 weeks old. I know, chronologically, they should be chopped. But they're not amber ... they're milky, yes, but hardly ANY amber. All hairs are red and curled up ... should I just go ahead and harvest the girls?

But 13 WEEKS?? That's way past what everyone sez for an auto girl ... :( I actually chopped her before I read your response ... the 13-wk old one anyway. I am learning to make Rick Simpson oil next week and I wanted to use them for that. So what I did was chop the oldest. I will try her out first and if she's just not ready, then I'll toss her in oil and let the other two keep growing. :)

Okay, I hope someone can chime in and help....I jus took a look in my "breeding tent" to collect some pollen and the biggest male has white hairs coming out of the top!!!! Is this a hermi??? I know if you get balls on a female, it's a hermi....I need to know if I can keep this male for breeding or throw it away!!!???

Hi Toocool, thanks for stoppin by!!
It seems odd to me that after 3 months you havent harvested your AFs. As far as Ive read the longer life cycle AF strains are only grown for 10 MAYBE 11 weeks but by then they should be fat & sticky with buds. Mine are like 1.5 months old and if I wanted to I could harvest today lol. Of course, the buds will be much bigger given another couple of weeks, plus I need all the seeds to fully develop.

I dont know if maybe you were given a non AF strain by mistake or if that is just some ridiculously long life cycle strain. If I read correctly, youre saying that even after 3 months one plant is just barely showing signs of sex?? Thats crazy if so, it should happen around week 3.

Yea I totally agree. How on earth are your Af lowryder plants 3 months old... Typo? That's 4 weeks past harvest!

i have 4 afgan kush that are just now budding and they are autos. i planted them and others along with them, lar2,blue berry, double deasil, and blue himalaya, and all but the blue himalaya are done. yet the deasil is just starting to bud. they did sex them selves under 24/7 light, but the veg time was long, they are over 2 foot tall, as were the others were a foot to a foot and a half tall. so some autos are longer than others in veg i guess. and they are budding now, but it looks like in sted of 45-50 days these are going to be more like 60- 65 days.

This seems to be a trait of the short stuff autos, I have never grown them, but have read several times about this accurance. I think they are bred to be like that though, they veg longer, so they get bigger. Not bad I would say, I wouldn't mind a 6 week veg time and then she flowered outdoors, thats still a way shorter growing season than regular plants.bongsmilie

I was talking about the blue himalya diesel, I thought that would be obvious, being that its the only strain you listed from that company.:spew:

man that hermi can only pass the female genome, so u can pollinate a female (but if it seeds itself they will be mostly hermi) and the seeds will be 100% female... no shit google Soma's femanized seeds method, peace & hope u aint chopped it yet!lol

I don't think that is true...

a female that goes herm will make all female seeds because that is what she truly is... A female. So she can only pass female genetic material to the seeds.

the exact opposite is true for a male... If a male goes herm, it still only posesses male genetic material, so unfortunately ALL RESULTING SEEDS WOULD BE MALE...

Way unfortunate, but I'm sure that's how it works.
