wooo nice
thats some crazy setup
are u supercroping an auto
and what strain
Thanks, SoA. I'm not supercropping, just ScrOG + DWC in a PC case. My impression is that any HST is sort of pointless on autoflowers because they don't have a long enough recovery period before flowering. I could be wrong though. Has anyone tried it?

I did accidentally damage a branch to the point where I had to chop it, and two more are damaged but still doing fine. Hopefully I'll see some growth from the wounded areas soon. I guess this will sort of show the viability (or lack thereof) of some HST.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it here yet but do NOT order ANY seeds that say they are AF from Nirvana!!!

NIRVANA HAS PULLED ALL OF THEIR AF STRAINS DUE TO THE AMOUNT OF COMPLAINTS THEY HAVE HAD. MAINLY WITH THE SO CALLED AF STRAINS NOT AUTO FLOWERING LIKE THEY SHOULD. SOME SEED BANKS ARE STILL SELLING THEM BUT DO NOT BUY!!!!!

If you bought AF seeds from Nirvana and they screwed up (had to put light schedule to 12/12 or took WAY too long to flower), contact them and complain. I have heard of people getting tons of free (non AF) seeds that got bad batches of AF seeds.

There is a thread either here or on ICMAG.COM about it, but I know a lot of people still dont know so I figured I would drop the bomb :)

iv allways used the sun and lights i dont put them outside only near a window
for like 5-6 hours
my plants thrive when in sun they love it.
Ahh, well that eliminates any worries of bringing in outdoor nasties. I say take advantage of any good sunlight you can get and save money on energy, assuming it's not too much effort. Obviously with several plants that's not very practical, but with just one or two plants there's no reason not to use the sun's rays during the day and supplement with CFL at night.

Yeah, some people share the same opinion, but others have tried it successfully and posted about it here. It's definitely doable from the feedback I've seen, but most people stay away from it for that very reason. Kinda depends on the auto too.

**Edit**
It occurs to me that newcomers to this thread/forum/growing/autos might read these warnings about Nirvana completely pulling all of their Autos, and be afraid to order or grow Autos entirely for fear that they'll have problems, or won't autoflower. Rest assured that there's nothing wrong with Autos in general, it's purely an issue with Nirvana's Auto seeds. Attitude seed bank's Autos are completely reliable (well as reliable as ANY seed is, there's always a tiny chance it might not germinate), and you shouldn't have any reservations about ordering Autos from them. There are other seed banks besides Nirvana and Attitude of course, in fact most other places are cheaper, but you get what you pay for. The feedback from members here tells the story... Attitude has an excellent track record for their seeds and delivery, which is every bit as important as the seeds themselves. Anyway, don't let this dust up with Nirvana's line of Autos scare you off of them, they're great plants for newbie home growers!

So I bought some Mdanzig Blue Ryder AF seeds from the Attitude. I got 10 seeds and plus 2 freebies(Dinafem Roadrunner and Dinafem Haze) but the Haze packet just contains crumbs of a seed like somebody broke it up and sprinkled the seed into the packet. But anyways, The Attitude had excellent shipping time. I got them 6 days after ordering and I live in the southwest US.

I presoaked 3 of my seeds until they sank(about 4 hours) and then attempted to germinate them using the paper towel method. The first seed germinated less than 12 hrs after starting. So I planted it into a Jiffy 12 seedling greenhouse. For some reason, the root grew up and out of the Jiffy plug so I had to carefully replant it correctly. It did great for 2 days, and they it lost color and went limp and died. I think my problem was too much water and probably too soon to use any nutrients and/or it probably wasn't a good idea to put it outside when it was so hot. I had also put just a little bit of Superthrive in a spray bottle and was using that to keep it from drying out and I just read that Superthrive is no good for AF for some reason. So I decided to wait for the other 2 seeds to germinate. Finally after 12 days the second seed germinated. I planted it in the jiffy greenhouse and have only been using reverse osmosis water for the first 2 days of it's life. the third seed is swollen and split open like it wants to sprout, but hasn't yet.

So my questions are...
Should I just be watering right now, or should I have the water supplemented with my nutrients? I was told to mix the General Hydroponics Flora Micro and Flora Grow to 100 ppm and use that to water with. Does this sound right?
Also, what would be the max temperature these can handle outside? I would like to set them outside on my balcony during the day but it ranges from 70 in the morning to 100 by the afternoon.

Right now the seedling is under a 90w Quad band UFO LED light and seems to be doing well.

Here is the exact seeds I ordered

This is the TDS meter I ordered. It came in just 2 days, I highly recommend this seller(ebay ID= e*train).

Hopefully my PH meter gets here soon. I have no idea what the PH of my RO water is currently.
This is day 2

I received a crushed seed too..I mailed it back to them and they replaced it and sent 2 extra freebies.

Here's a link to a thread I posted about it.

Yeah, but read what Nirvana has on there site regarding the strains. I had the first round of Blue Mystics and just harvested one today, I will say that the jock horror has yet to auto and its like 10 weeks. So not happy bout that. If you do have the bunk beans Nirvana will do right.

Dude, just water, way too early for nutes period. Also easy on the water, dont flood the little gems. Those pellets should be wet but not soaked. It's a common mistake so just experiment and youll get an idea. Also when, if nutes are used be careful on veg or flower nutes as the A.F's hit flower early so theres not much time.

Yeah Nirvana is still a completely respectable company, they just tried to jump the gun on pumping out an AF version of every strain. They know that the only way they survive is through their customer reviews so if they want to stay afloat they will continue to satisfy and impress us.

I am not condoning a boycott or anything, just saying that you should not order any AF beans by nirvana because some sites will continue to sell them till their stock is out. Maybe some of the classics (LR2, Diesel Ryder, Easy Ryder, etc.) would still be just fine, but stay away from the newer ones that have popped up just within the last year or so for now. I knew it all sounded too good to be true, as long as it took to get Low Ryder to a point that people would grow it regularly, it just seemed odd to have tons of popular non AF strains all of a sudden showing up as stable AF strains. Give it time and it will happen Im sure, but time is the key word there. These breeders just have so much competition that they take risks that maybe they shouldnt some times
