hey KB whats up with that hermi you had? was it one or didnt it turn out female? my biggest female turned into what i thought was a hermi it started out as a female with white pistils then more and more male pollen sacks came out and the white pistils eventually fell off and now has only male parts does that mean its still a hermi? or is it a full on male? and no more white pistils have come out since and now i have only one female and 4 males out of the 5 i germed shitty ratio but im hoping that the rest of the seeds are females i already germed those too and they are on their way as well

Hey ATX, sorry it took me so long to get back with you.

Oddly enough, the exact same thing happened with my hermie. It had 4 large white hairs below and some pollen sacs up top when I transplanted it outdoors. Last I checked, it was about 15" tall and I couldn't see any hairs on it anymore. The top cluster of pollen sacs has a lot of red at the tips of each sac, don't know what that means really.

Its near my house and I only go visit it on a rare occasion at like 3-4am, so taking a picture may not be possible, we'll see. How is yours doing by the way?

As far as the male to female ratio, I feel you there. I started 12 plants last run (6 Diesel Ryder 6 Apollo11) and ended up with 3 females :( But this time around I started with 20 diesel ryders. 6 died before sexing, 5 were males, 8 females & 1 hermie. The only ting I did different was used a 24/o light cycle for the first 2 weeks instead of 20/4 like I did last time. Don't know if thats what helped but Ill probably use 24/0 for the first 2 weeks from now on.

Peace
KB

yea sounds like the same thing couple of hairs then they fell off so im guessing its a male now and im gonna use it to pollinate my only female since its the biggest male i have and looks the healthiest so i can have more seeds later on cuz that ratio kinda scared me lol i germed my last 5 seeds 3 took off one looks like it might not really live the cap came out the soil and hasnt moved in the last 4 days or so im thinking it might be dead or something lol my female i have is really starting to grow since i have gave it some fox farm nutes grow big for now its a small lil bushy thing with lots of hairs the other males im thinking of tossing them not quite sure yet i just checked the plants now and the hermie has a few pods open so i took it out the room so i can take some pollen off it and dust a few parts of my female so i can have some seed free bud what would be a good way of storing pollen i heard in a film canister thing and store it in the fridge any of you guys have a idea on storing?

atx make sure you dry good before you store or you be fucked

to dry fold in brown paper (no bleach)
stash in rice for a few days
then can keep for months
hermed pollen will give you fem seeds if used on 100 percent female
will give herms if used on self or a femed female

luck to you bro

thanks for the info i heard about hermi pollen making fem seeds but i thought they passed on the hermi gene or whatever i wasnt too sure so if i use the hermi pollen will it give me females or just hermis again? im sort of confused on this part

Thanks Tx. I just recently bought two new LED panels in blue only for vegging. The prices have come way down now too. The ones that I had before were half red / half blue and the plants loved it. I can't imagine how crazy they will go at 2x the blue ones. Since autos basically go straight into flower after growing two true leaves, this should be interesting to see what happens. I may have to break out the HPS sooner than expected to get the right spectrum. BTW, you should see the freaking light from these new LEDS; it will blind you!!

Need help with Afghan Kush, from World Of Seeds. I planted them on July 20 and now it is sept the 1st and they are still not showing signs of full flowering. While the lowryders I planted at the same time are about 2 or 3 weeks from being ready to harvest.

Front left and back left Lowryders, flowering very nicely. Front middle lemon skunk coming along and 3 week younger then rest. Then the three bushy monsters are the Afghan Kush that are have been showing hairs for about 2 weeks but have just been vegging with no more flowers blooming.

The only signs of flowering, these appeared about 2 weeks ago and have not multiplied sense then.

Does it just need more time, or do you think it is not an autoflower?

thats cool how many watts you running with those? ive been following the 180watt grow with leds you know the one im talking about lol im really thinking of getting one like that its really growing some nice fat nugs if i get those ill be able to grow non auto strains and be able to have two setups at the same time cuz having two 400 watters could run my bill to high and maybe raise some eyebrows which i really dont want still gonna grow autos though im really liking them ill post pics of my only female later on when i get out of work they are sleeping now shes grown pretty bushy im thinking that shes a lil to bushy really compact im thinking of taking some of the shade leaves these indica dominate leaves seem to cause too much shade

I got two 50w panels; that don't even make an extra blip on the electric bill, not even at 24 hr light. Plus the lack of heat from them is a huge thing for me. I can't wait to start my auto beans, just can't do it yet. I suspect that a 180w LED would give better buds than a 400w HID, just my hunch. I think it would be best to have a 100% red one for that.

yea i was reading up on the 180watt and they says it equal or close to a 600watt hid and heat issue is big for me too it gets up to 87 degrees with the 400watt light too yea the autoflowers are really cool i really wanna try the blueberry strain for lowryders
