Okay so this update is a bit late....Up first is SourJem #7...(first 5 pics) she also turned "all yellow"!! she is 66 days old...

And next 4 pics are SourJem #5....THIS WAS THE ONE WITH THE CAL/MAG DEF...she is came back well... she is 10wks..
Not bad eh'??

here is a pic of my AK's that are now dry and ready for cure.... pic is 3 days old....been in jars since and they have 2 diff smells...1 set is like a diesel smell and the other is bubblegumish.....

That leaf yellowing trait at the end of harvest reminds me of JEM line...
But..
the top bud looks different..
wondering if you have a good cross of traits in that girl.

This is how to understand/estimate the dominance in your girls..

Your sister has had a baby..
and you look at it..
and you say..
it has it's moms eyes..
it's dads height..
moms hair colouring..
dads nose...
etc..etc..

You are reading the dominance of the genetic cross.
Deciding which Traits were inherited from each parent.

Being human..we are pre-programmed to do it..
so it comes naturally.

Deciding the dominance of a cross is exactly the same.

You look at it and say..
Does this girl resemble Mainly JEM..
or Mainly Sour..

IF most of the traits belong to 1 parent only..say..80-90%..you have a Dominant..

OR..is she a Balance of Both.

If she has a good..40-60% split of traits..then you have a Cross.

On your SOUR/JEM#7..

I can see JEM in that yellow leaf colour..(+10% for JEM..)
I see a top bud that is not typically JEM..(+10% for Sour.)

so..only from what I can see...you are on your way to a cross in that girl..
but you will need to fine check her..see what else she has belonging to either parent.

When you are first doing it..it may be an idea to keep yourself a list of traits to watch..

so..an easy one is to say..

Height..(10%)
frame shape..(10%)
leaf colour/shape..(10%)
Bud sites..(10%)
bud shape..(10%)
bud colour..(10%)
Aroma..(10%)
Taste..(10%)
effect..(10%)
Mood..(10%)

If you can attribute all of those traits on your pheno..
and add up the percentage points..
you can work out Who..predominantly..she is.

IMO...thinking you want yourself a "Coloured Sour"...
you will have Best chance of getting it by picking the pheno that is nearest to a 50-50% cross.

Thanks for the kind words my friend...I dont even know where to start....BUT, that info is wicked!!!! thanks you so much for it!!!! ++rep! gonna really start checking/lookin @ them when I run the F2's..<you are dead on with the colored sour pheno i'm looking for...a big/heavy yeilding colored sour pheno that is.....(;....hoping to find that pheno @ F3...<should have that 50/50% cross you talked about..

Right now I think some def have that sweet n sour smell with a hint of "skunky deisel"??

And I think the Jem is the dominate trait @ F1.....a 60-40% ratio...Jem/Sour60....I say this because the parent Sour60 and all her siblings had a more fruity smell and had diff phenos ...BUT that mutant SourJem is def a result of Sour60...out of 8 plants, 4 were very uniform and grew almost identical,(and all 4 wet wgt was over 100gms)...other 4..2' pheno, micro pheno, bushy mutant and short n fat pheno....

okay so here is the FINAL PLANT of this grow.....!!!!!

without futher adue, I bring you SourJem#8...."the preggo bitch"! she is 72days old!

so far I plucked around 25 beans from her during trimming...and she looks loaded with hundreds!!!!!

OH, jus an honorable mention....I got 45 dark lovely seeds from my Ak/SJ cup project...and it look like I will have a gm or 2 of AK bud when dry....

And the last pic is all the fruit of my endless harvesting..16 plants worth of TRIMMINGS!! CAN YOU SAY HOLIDAY HASH!!!!!!

Okay so here is the deal....I put the final SourJem, (THE PLANT ABOVE^^^) in jars YESTERDAY and her dry wgt was 48gms.! 8gm short of 2oz!! aghh!! LOL! her cola alone was 20gm dry..and the rest of her was 28gms...

Also, I would like to introduce you guys to SourJem F2's.........280 of THEM!!

ANNND, Total dry wgt for 16 plants grown under 600hps, verticle...

14oz!!....give or take a few gms...<test smoking
