I hear that; I understand.

I guess I meant contact an irrigation spot, have a chat, and you can both put a "kit" together (i.e.: bulk prices on the amounts of each item you'd need. the more you buy, of say emitters or stakes or whatever, the price goes down). Tell them what you need and let them do all the work, calculations.

I duno, might be worth a shot.
You know what , i aint never tried that before....its 2021 , its worth a shot! Everything used to be illegal so you couldnt really talk about it, now things have changed so i guess i can just ask a rep to help. Thank you sir for your input, much appreciated !!

Glad I could help, haha. I'm gonna have to do the same no doubt; call and get some info I mean.

(Lastly, I've been watching some drip irrigation videos. Netafim, one of the "pioneers"(?) of drip irrigation, has some great videos, both short general ones, and longer "webinar" videos, which I found pretty good - at least to understand the equipment workings).
I'm looking into the Netafim WPCJ emitters (with CNL; which is basically an internal check valve, to stop the lines draining in between irrigations - which causes several problems). I have some links and stuff, let me know if you want any.

If you remember, please let us know when you have some progress or something.

The only kits i have seen are for 10 plants at the most....i seen a couple for 12 or 16...
I would rather have one for 100 rather then buy 10 kits seperate. If i seen one with 100 sites then i would prolly buy it even though it will hurt my feelings and pockets.
Im getting up in age, i would rather spend money then to think about anymore then i already am. I actively study plant nutrition , PH, LEDS, spectrums, live soil, organics, ect....i really dont wanna spend much time on this watering system.

I have one 1/2" pipe that i ran a test on. 7 x 1/4" holes, fed by gravity. It worked great. all 7 holes got very close to the same amount of water. If i use pressure then i belive i can get 20 sites with fairly even flow but i dont have a way to test it.

My other choice is one of them high powered water pumps in this thread. They got enough power to push to over 100 sites. I suppose my main question is what do i need for a mainifold ?

1x pump

yeah plus:

- a non-return valve inside the reservoir at the beginning of your aspiration line (3/4 or 1" ldpe). this way the pump always stay primed
don't use any brass fitting or accessories on your line. only pvc/polyethylene.
is use this non-returnt, it's cheap an works perfect

don't use metal hose clamp .. some rizzlan are enough, there is no big pressure in aspiration

- a good tool to pinch the hose to insert the PC drippers in it, get a real tool, not just a small homemade spike as it will leak everywhere

Havent gotten around to doing anything other then tinkering with on hand stuff....
Will this pump work for the pc drippers ? 40psi

So far i hooked up a cheap pond pump to 1/2" pvc with holes drilled in it. 3/16" each. 12 holes on two pipes so far.....going to try 12 more today for a total of 24 sites on one pond pump. (320gph i think)
So far on the 12 sites , the watering is very even....not perfect but good enough for the girls. Each cup only varies a few ml.

Shurflo # 2088-594-154

The above pump is the 45# of pressure model. The same as the pressure of the kitchen sink. I use it to empty out my drain pan. It'll fill two 5 gallon containers in a few minutes.

I found this one for 70 bucks , i better just grab it for the brand name.

Yeah, cheap they are not but it's a permanent type pump. You can find them in RV water systems. Shower, sink. Other applications just as industrial.

Truth be told. It's a middle quality pump. The ultimate is an Iwaki brand. Their series of aquarium pumps are for people that buy fish worth thousands of dollars. Where the pump cannot fail. 100% made in Japan. Domestic market stuff and they're serious about it.

$70 is a fair price for the Shurflo. The Iwaki will run you $200-$300+.

(Yes, I've had one on a hydro setup)

I need help with how to choose what size/gph/psi pump to use for some netafim emitters (anybody?).

I'll put down what I use you might get some ideas from it.
Micro jet mj 450 adjustable flow.
A manifold, I've got an 8 and 24 port, some 5mm tubing, some T,s X,s and taps to split and control the flow across pots and treat individually if required eg 2 different sizes of pots/plants or both lol

There's a filter in the main reservoir and a filter in the feed tank if anything makes it through 2 filters its unlikely to block in 5mm tubing or it never has done with me as yet.

I thought 2/3 bar pumps were for pressure compensated systems, my pump is only 0.7 bar (70 cm lift height) who has plants 2 mtrs+ above the reservoir?
As a belt and braces approach to flooding I've got trays that hold more than the reservoir so even with a timer jam I don't get flooded.

You can buy 2 different types of tubing soft and hard, I remember reading that you shouldn't use the soft stuff, personally I find it works the same only it's more user friendly, it's pliable as opposed to the hard springy.
Fwiw the hard stuff pushes snugly into the soft tubing and forms a water tight seal.

If I remember correctly, your particular setup is not using a "high pressure" pump, though. Right? It's an aquarium style impeller pump?
I'm just asking because if it were high pressure - using pc emitters, etc., I'd be concerned with any push fit, tube-on-tube connections.

You bought an "RV" style diaphragm water pump already, right? If you're in the us (I forget already), there's probably lots of places, irrigation/drip irrigation stores, even just hydro stores will probably have everything but the pump (at least at reasonable price).
If it's a high pressure pump like that, you'll want pc drip emitters, and either an "accumulation tank" or rig up a "return" line to the reservoir with a valve at the end so that you can dial in the flow (pressure) so that the pump doesn't keep turning off (when the pressure limit is met).

I think I said that right.

I kid you not I was going to edit the post and add in low pressure only.
You're right enough it's only a small low pressure impeller type pump.
