I'm running auto's and photo's this year and all seem to be fine except the Fast and Vast auto's. I lost one yesterday and one was withering away when I woke up this morning. The photo's are all doing fine and haven't lost one. My NL auto's are fine.. its just the Fast and Vast. I thought maybe it was hot soil but if that were the case I'd see damage on the others as well because all of the soil used was from the same batch. I'm stumped.
Hope you solved your problem.

i have others that are doing fine in the same soil.. this is a critical diesel in same soil.. i have another auto purple that is doing much better also.. some times it's hit or miss.. i know my soil is a little hot though it's been cooking for a while.. i've been too lazy to get some peat and cut it

I'm starting to regret getting those Fast and Vast.. I should've invested in more NL. I guess I fell victim to the marketing scheme.
I still have 3 that haven't popped above the soil yet. I hope I have better luck with them or my hopes of an early harvest is going out the window for sure.

holy shit this might be working.... or it's a placebo effect either way..it's getting better

Looking good! I guess my soil was a little too hot for the Fast and Vast.. I repotted them in different potting soil so we'll see how that works out. Just weird how everything else liked it.

i think it has to do with how much ruderalis was left in the cross
it seems like the more a auto has been crossed the more nute tolerant they become

O.o just figured id add Boston i thought you already knew the blues and purps were nute sensitive from the go

ya i usually only take out about 32oz.. i knew it was gunna be a little hot so i took out a good gal.+ 1" or 2 on the top... but she did a crazy shoot str8 in2 the hottest part.. she's gunna pull through.. she's already show'n sex...hopefully some side branching will help too

i pulled this shit out.. she's gunna do what she's guna do.growingoaktrees.jpg she'llpullthrough.jpg . just contemplating topping her.imighthavetotopit.jpg .i planted another auto purple in the same soil a few wks later that stayed in the sweet spot and is doing fine..autopurp.jpg autopurple1.jpg

It wouldn't be a bad idea to use some sort of natural mulch to absorb water and control soil temperature to some degree. The mulch will hold the water and release slowly into the soil while keeping the soil cool.

ya i'm still running LED's... been thinking about switching to induction.. you can get kits to retrofit @ a good price and just build your own light
ya i was looking at those on ebay only thing was venting it and wasnt sure on the risk for shock
then life happened and i gave up the research

no need to top brother
it'll be nice and compact already

Yeah I love mulch! usually if it is pretty looking it isn't going to be the best for your plants. At least thats what I un-covered.
ya and the organic compost that is still chunky actually absorbs N so its not always a good thing but it looks amazing
