Yeah man, years ago. Can't really remember much about it though (which kinda makes this post redundant lol).Anyone heard of a strain called tutti fruity?
Never saw it in holland.

It will slow the stretch and increase growth... More bud also in flower because of the light intensity at such a close distance the light can penetrate the lower branches and bud sites easier too.I'm running 600 HPS would lowering it slow my stretch though?? or do you think increase overall growth? i need her to get taller as i'm cutting clones in a couple of days, and my net will go in very soon...i thought i could go closer as I can put the back of my hand to the glass and its only warm....
I agree it has its place, mostly as an emergency way of continuing a particular lineage that would be impossible to continue otherwise. I mentioned fem seed because for a new grower it can be easier to start from a more stable point. once he / she know the growth habbits that are normal and choosing phenos to invest time into gets easier.Theres been alot of talk that feminised seeds are crap or somehow of lesser standard than a regular m/f seed. This is totally and certifyably untrue if it comes from excellent genetics and comes from a well stabilised strain there should not be any downside to useing feminised seeds....
Breeders who have not stabilised the mother they are self pollinating give feminised seeds the bad wrap they are getting because the genetic make up of the mother is so unstable it spits out herms. Also with feminised seeds it comes down to the conditions it was grown in just like a normal m/f seed . Poor seed raising conditions and growing conditions = hermis mostly in feminsed seeds along with the poor genetics and unstabilised mothers which they were taken from just like with normal m/f seeds
Very true its alot easier for a noob to grow out a true m/f line than a feminised one .But if the grower has seedraising experience and growing experience they are just as good a normal m/f seeds if its coming from stabile geneticsI agree it has its place, mostly as an emergency way of continuing a particular lineage that would be impossible to continue otherwise. Not to mention pure males are easier to find than hermie to the new eye.
i dunno man, i'm not worried about the heat, i actually need her to stretch so i can get some clones...I may have a looksie tonight, If you really think that lowering would increase my growth than i may give it a try....she is growing very rapidly already, and quite bushy, i need her to go upHey flowie you could drop it to half the distance it is at now and im assuming that its sitting 40cm away at the moment . I wouldnt go any closer than 20cm of the tops but can vary by brand and cooling efficency of the hood . just keep an eye on it
interesting man. you have never used Pgr's or this is just personal to you?I agree.
However pretty much anywhere that's not equatorial will have shorter light cycles toward mid winter that tell the plant that the season is moving on and it needs to hurry up and reproduce. Further frustrating a sensimilla plant.
I dont really know how excess, unnatural amounts of PGR's fit in to a natural cycle. If height is an issue clone em out SoG or something and let them have a natural cycle.
PGRs are a lazy mans way to photgenic props. Good smoke comes from healthy plants grown with care.
I'd run them on a standard amount of nutes, and for a standard 12/12 cycle. weekly flush you will get good buds providing you don't have bad genetics or fem seed.
Learn to grow without PGR's.. after that if you want to turn beautiful genetics into bikie / asian street crap you will be qualified to. I don't know any growers (and i know a quite few both up north and down south that dont bother with forums) who would use PGR's on their perso. TBH they'd laugh.
edit: Thats fully dosing PGR's to excess, flowmasta seems to have found a spot of acceptable loss for him and that's fine. (providing he knew the potential of the plant to begin with). but it takes existing growing knowledge to make a call like that.
Thanks for that I just bought some from a friend who said it was tutti fruity.. Smells and taste is dank high is good! The bitch wont let me take a clone lolA bit more comes up under "tootie fruity" or "tooty fruity"

I'm glad we agree on this Supa, it's good to meet you.Very true its alot easier for a noob to grow out a true m/f line than a feminised one .But if the grower has seedraising experience and growing experience they are just as good a normal m/f seeds if its coming from stabile genetics
Yeah flowie I run my cooltubes about 6 inches from the tops. If you want a little stretch for clones I would prob leave it up a little but then drop down again. I have 3x600CTs and a 400wCT running as well and LOVE how close they can be to the plants! You should have fun with this one mate. And yeah I will use PGRs on my pers, sometimes. I preffer my PGR'd smoke to most other crap I come across but it is definitely a shortcut to chunkyness! I just did 2 WW clones in sepperate tents, one with and one without pgrs. TBH I was going to chuck the Widow mother out until I tried the PGR'd version. All other variables aside it turned out better, which suprised me.
i may lower her tonight, it is rather cold in the tent, even with HPS on...25 degrees, i have turned all fans off in the grow room, to help bring temps up a little, so fuckin cold at the moment! Ok, u talked me into it, i will lower my hood tonight around 4 inches, i can't go much lower as i have my ducting setup so that it doesn't have much give (tried to keep ducting length down for extraction. the hood sucks like a fuckin Hoover, i have to leave the glass open about 1 inch to allow my extraction fan to breathe enough. i can put my hand to the glass without burning...So about 15cm miyagi youd say ???
My dual bulb cool tubes sit at about 15-20cm off the tops but they have a 150mm fanmaster 2 blower pumping air thru them
oooh i hear you, actually i dont think i want a second bowl yet, this outdoor makes your vision terrible, its like i'm drunk...but it tastes sooo god, fuck it bong timeHaha I would never say no to stronger flow! But I am some kind of monster(2nd bowl of The Hog today and it's monday morning lol)
I suppose it comes down to experience and standards. you need the experience to make the call on quality over yield, and you need to have standards that match the research results and history of man made "influences" on the natural world. might be a bit deep, but theres no possible way (today) man can put the same spins and weights on the sub atomic particles. thus no man made atomic structure will ever truely fit with natures puzzle pieces.I believe hazey could answer better but all refs. to PGRs and cancer are from it being used on FOOD, not regulated, cleaned, flushed, etc. Used in wk 2/3 of a 2month plus cycle and flushed with a good flushing agent NO PROBS!
