Thoughts with all my fellow outdoor growers,getting very heavy & consistent rain on the coast at the wrong end of the season.Havent visited my lil' guerilla spot for 3 weeks so who knows whats doing there.....at least i can protect my couple at home...............fuck off ghetto birds...go bust those real criminals,the indoor growers! Enemies of the state i tell ya..

Is it good to give your plants a water before you pull them out for an outdoor grow or doesn't it really matter??

If you have used nutes throughout the grow then you should flush approx 1-2 weeks prior to harvest, if no nutes, there is no reason.

i used to flush but i dont no more what i do is fill my res with norm nutes 2 weeks b4 end then i just top the res up with just ph water so by the time of pull the ppm is very low and i havent starved the plants just weined em down
they dont get flushed in nature isnt that what we trying to mimick?
i have found no diff with the taste but my plants look heaps healthy when pulled

Update:

Jock Horror:




Both plants display browning on tips with leaf curl up. EC= 2, Ph= 6 and they on full strength Pk13/14 (given sunday and on the same tank)



Cloning station. The VERY sick looking SLH in the back left (SHOULD come good i think), the middle pot is 2 SLH clones and an Amp Bubblegum clone, then the last pot is the heavily topped G13 Haze. The white bucket to the right holds 3 more AB clones and a SLH clone all with nice healthy roots. There is also 5 G13 Haze clones that went in today...so hope they get roots



White Rhino....neglected her ALOT yet came good....little trooper.

Ur running ur EC @ 2.0?? SLH can pump 2.3~2.4ish if she is healthy.. But that's in Coco.. Did u say she was in Coco or DWC?
If she is in DWC that's a fair bit high. If she is in Coco check ur runoff as the conditions within the pot may actually be alot higher.
I ween mine onto & off PK 13/14...
I run it for 2days @ 1/2 Strength, then full strength for 5 days, then ween it back to 1/2 strength for 3 more days before i flush when the pot has dried out almost completely from the last feed containing PK!

The SLH is the clone, the nute burn is on the Jock and White Rhino.

Yer EC is at 2.0 but ill check it again today as i had to hit them with the Ph down yesterday so it will have no doubt increased. I also saw my res levels were running low so filled it with more water......BEFORE i topped the res up the EC was 3!!!!!! So maybe 2 is ok now lol. Should of mentioned that.

Na they in DWC clay balls (ill need to get you over when im ready for my new system btw as i want to run coco but it clogs up my shit).

Well tomorrow they would have had Pk13/14 for a full 7 days. So tomorrow i might change my res water and give them half strength Pk, full silica and half potash then change the water on Wednesday and go back to normal feed schedule. That would give them 7 days full Pk and 3 days 0.5 Pk to ween them off. Then i can hit them with the normal nutes again for the remaining 3 or so weeks. Sound ok?

Also based off the pic and the dimensions of roughly 70cm x 70cm x 70cm for the jock (first pic) what do you think her yield would be? The main cola is forming up nicely to the point it would be about a "forearm" in size (roughly 40cm and pretty fat) All those side buds are about 20cm long and still forming. There is about 10 or so of those small buds and ALOT of popcorn on the lower branches. As for the rhino.....im not that fussed on what she gives but i think she will just be a popcorner with fuck all bigens.

So I talk to a mate at work and apparently he used to grow and he knows several people that own houses that are just for growing. He has told me that if I buy a hydro kit from a hydroshop, they will take my details (sa) send em to the police or bikies (he says that most hydroshops are bikie owned) and they will raid my place after 3 months (roughly the time for a crop)...how true is this, or have I become too paranoid about starting to have a plant or two growing in my place. Seems that a lot of you are happy to chuck up snaps of your crop without worrying about the police? Do the police actually crack down on the growers for self use or just on the commercial grow ops?

That's only a sa law, buy from another state or drive to another state.
Is that law for any amount you buy or only bulk?

You can have 1 plant per property so long as it doesn't exceed 1m x 1m.. Oh & it has 2b outdoors.

hhahaha yer how fucked is that, they ban the stuff 100%.......so people grow fuck loads to make up the risk of being caught....OR they could learn they will NEVER stop this shit and just manage the grows instead. ie. let people have 1 maybe 2 plants and there would be no issue. In amsterdam i beleive the law is they are allowed to have 5 plants and in doing so drug use is actually alot lower there than any other place. The only people who really do anything over there are the pent up tourists who go there JUST so they can do it.

EDIT: Anyone know where to grab a good, cheap and quiet air pump from with HIGH output? ATM mine is an aquaone with 4 outlets and 1600L/hr......i want to get into the 3-4kL/hr range as i think more bubbles are needed.

Also my Jock Horror x White Rhino (so i guess either "white horror" or "Jock frost") worked I used GOD's CS method so should all be fem seeds. Either way pretty happy with whatever sprouts from the seed as it would have been my first "creation". While nothing all that special, it gave me a taste for creating my own strains so now i want to continue this..... Maybe the indica in the Rhino will make the Jock get a little faster on the production? Jock is a three way cross and is therefore meant to be pretty tempremental, so maybe the rhino will make her a little more stable?

What sort of airstones are you using a lot more finer bubbles works better, when we switched to airstones that offered more smaller bubble our plants grew better though we had 2 of the hoses going to each bucket from the 4 outlet one. I'll ask my mate whose crazy into fish what he thinks.

Also I got 6 clones at about 4 iches vegging nicley they should be about 8-12 inches in a week or two I also have just put some g13xhaze into my bubble cloner (sex not yet determined though some pollen would be nice so no loss) and am looking to have a bumper winter crop hoping to put out ~60 plants at ~12 inches each over the next 6 months and am aiming for about an ounce off each. I will also be experimenting with putting out larger plants 2 foot and over and seeing if the risk of indoor vegging is worth the reward, just need to buy a MH bundle.

Also got Whats the EC of the thrive you put in your hempies I am currently using ~ 0.8EC stuff and the plants are thriving using the 1/3 runoff rule watering every other day. Further more ed rosenthal reccomends the KC33 (though the sativa pheno) I am growing a indica pheno and it is exploding madly with growth, at this rate it may be my favourite plant as far a rapid growth go and likely yield.

naturally I still have my $15 phone and can't post pic of my cabinet which I am really quite proud of.

ACT used to be 5 plants then they changed it down to 2, not sure about it moving back down to 1, but i remember reading all these laws in some big ass adobe file, i could post a link to it if i can find it and anyone wants to have a skim over it?

I was using one of those ball stones from discount hydro per pot and then using the two spares in my res, but have now gone two of those balls per pot. The addition of that extra stone made a world of difference!!!!

Seems how i just got a new 70l/min air pump i can afford to run two hoses per pot now and might run a 30/60cm flexible air stone as im running one in my cloner and LOVE the bubble output from them. They are open at both ends so i might even run two of the flexis and terminate them with the balls (hope that made sense).

How long did your clones take to throw roots? Mine were covered in nodes for about 2 weeks then BAM throwing out hairs like it was a 70's porn flick!! Thank fuck the Amp bubblegum managed to clone as that shit is hard to get hold of!!! Doing some G13 clones myself atm and seems ot have hairs on them already (one of the clones showing some hairs after only two days!!!!)

They blast out nodes in days then take anywhere from 3-7 more days to sprout out roots, though my temps have been a little high, as for the plants they'll be grow guerilla and in winter when cops aren't looking, as for the hempies I'm really loving them just got my nutes down pat and have worked out just the right amount to put through each one for the best results (so far).

I wouldn't mind some rhino but I'm pretty poor being auni student and all so opted for the least cost seeds to run my first experiments on.
