im no good with electrics and stuff but doesnt it have a fuse ?did u check that ?my ballast has what looks to be a fuse that just screws outagh fuck!!! Well it still wont turn on, so i might take the globe to the shop tomorrow and see. I HOPE the globe is the problem as wouldnt hurt to try this dual light anyway. But a broken ballast would piss me off. Its still under warrenty though

ALSO, i was checking on my plant, and accidently hit the cable to the ballast out. It turned off the light and about 30seconds later i plugged it back in......now it wont turn on. No obvious damage to the light (doesnt look as if its actually blown unless im missing something)
This sound more ballast issue or globe issue? I unplugged it again to box the ballast up and in doing so touched the power cable terminals whilst unplugged and it still zapped me (the male adaptor that you plug into the wall) I also replaced the fuse on the ballast.
If it sounds globe related, i was looking at buying a sunmaster 600W Dual spectrum light anyway. Anyone have experience with them?
You can't hot strike a HID Globe. Also the reason it zapped you is beacuse there is residual power running through the cables. Always wait at least 1 minute (2 is better) between the time u turn the Ballast off & the time u unplug it from the wall. It can damage the Ballast to rip the line out. Speak 2 the fella's @ the shop, they have spare kit & they'l test it 4u.
Well whatever was wrong is now fixed
Im guessing the caps just needed to discharge and reset the overload. As for turning off and unpluging. Just so i have this right, your saying if i flick the switch at the wall, i should still leave the cable plugged in even though its off? - Makes sense based on what just happened lol.
The guys at the shop seem a lil seedy, so im sure they have thier own grows lol.

Maybe look at one of those dual spectrum lights. 1. Can tell us if they are any good 2. It means if it goes in either veg/bloom you should be covered

hey all,
im living in WA about 6 hours Perth, new to growing having only done a small outdoor grow, and doing a small indoor scrOG grow now.
Honestly (and i hate to go on) but we live in the best place on earth and it makes me proud that other people feel the same way, respect to the bloke who made this thread!!
Im thinking about moving down to Geralton soon, is there anyone in this area??

its amazing what genetic information can be passed down by seeds i have two skunk #1 fem going in dwc at the moment and the leaves are rippled on one of the plants which ive seen before in clones or have i got a sick plant on my hands? i adjusted the ph the other day from 5.6 to 6.2 but i reckon these leaves were like this before.... amateur hour

Australia just passed a law that allows cops to search homes without a warrant under anti terror law. Anyone know the details?

Doesn't mean they can use that law as an excuse to walk into any home - they would need to have reasons for the search and your common PC Plod won't be able to just walk into your place.

hahah well said. Tbh i think common sense (payin for things with cash, keeping low profile, not growing fuck loads, etc) and you shouldnt have a problem. If you give them nothing than they not gonna just randomly search places lol.
The drug misuse act (1995) Qld give police almost unlimited powers to search your home and they can get an after the fact warrant that can be held up in court with something as small as an anonymous tip off which by the same law is not allowed to be disclosed. All too convenient huh thats how my house and several mates houses got raided no evidence whatsoever.

Can anyone evaluate on the laws of growing MJ in WA? Like how many plants are u allowed, and if caught with more than that limit wat happens?? Thanx for any replies peace!!

It was 2 per person however they were going to reform it not sure if they have yet. Google it lukey.
