Aussie Growers Thread

Yes scene has changed. Every Tom, Dick and Harry has a prescription and a large proportion of them think that if it comes prescribed from a "doctor" it must be good clean meds. In actual fact 90% of Aussie medical is Canadian greenhouse grown. Ive seen varying degrees of quality.

I cant talk for every situation but for my area there is more product around so people are willing to sell pounds for less just to move it along. so there is downward pressure on prices with the same supply there always was but less demand as a lot of previous custies have moved to scripts via mail.

There are varying views about legalization but I hate it. All it has done is shift what was a cottage industry of mostly backyard growers to a corporate model with a 5 minute telehealth appointment all thats needed for anyone to get a script and order cannabis in any form online and delivered by mail. They are cutting out the legacy market. If it goes full legal it will be even worse and I would probably retire.
Wow!

So can you spit in Flinders Street Station now without getting ticketed? :p

i like the people who tell me medical weed is better than anything else and i just laugh at them

You run the farm or its your farm?

How does a operation like that go in terms of making a crust with something like that if you dont mind me asking? Do you sell seeds?

Us here we tend to stray into the grey areas of legality and mostly do ok :)
im just a horticulturist and sparky and sort of pollen chucking breeder, at the time...in northern areas you can cut clones of chilis if indoors year round though most sales are in spring and early summer months...unlike cannabis chillis need heat then atumn/ fall weather to fruit

I grow chilis and they fruit roughly the same time but the chilies last 3 years or so which is nice. The little thai chilies are big yielders.

There are a lot of them. They think black market = dirty they are completely clueless.
Yep I'm in the tropical end of the country and I'm hearing the same here, my young fella hates it though, he reckons most of comes on fast , leaves just as fast and often with a headache

Hey mate. I thought you grew for the love of growing, but I get ya. It's about my 4th or 5th year now and I just love tending my garden, I'm 66. Been sourcing beans from sacredseeds and that has been successful, and still have some that a very kind gentleman from this forum sent me. There are some great ppl around. Growing me three or four has also got me more motivated for the vegie patch, which is a great thing considering the trash they sell in the supermarkets here. I'm in the land of no smoke at the moment, China, and the food here 1000% better than I get at home. Chickens are small and taste like chicken. I come here every year, and even though I am not a heavy smoker these days, I do enjoy the break and especially that first couple of smokes upon return. The scene is changing that's for sure.
Anyways, our train is boarding so all the best.

Hey mate nice to hear from you glad you are well and still doing the things.

I should have clarified, I meant retire from commercial production. I will never stop growing and breeding etc until Im in a box. Im currently busy as, got a lot of native seedlings on the go and doing as much reforestation of big scrub as I can. Also still doing the things

Hit me up when you are home if you want some new varieties.
