I can pour petrol over some gnat infested pots and set it on fire, there'll literally be no more gnats so is that a good idea too, your logic is severely flawed

After seein your post i realised it was bullshit an yas were taking the piss outta some one.

I wasn’t doing any other pest control bar neem once a week and sticky cards. And in every other grow before and after that particular one still had gnat dramas.

The grow I just harvested is when I started to use a sieve and try it again. The amount the cards were catching decreased significantly.

How does basically killing half your plants benefit them ? And there's fuck all plant available silica in D.E so it's benefits are insignificant

Theres a product called gnat nix that is same idea as d.e but it looks more like perlite so shouldnt clog anything up ive used it before but just dont bother anymore because i can control my gbat problem with sticky traps and neem. Just though id offer a solution rather than pick at you

What are you talking about? I didn’t, it didn’t, kill any plant at all.
The blockage/poor drainage in the two caused significant lock out issues that took me Some time to rectify, but nothing died and fuck I learnt so much during that time as I was determined to get them right and I succeeded.

Best way to solve fungus gnats is to learn how to water properly

Nah mate. I had a 600x600 floor drain with stagnant water sitting permanently in the room. Perfect environment for them. I would let the pots dry right out at times which is not a good practice and not intentional and STILL gnats.

You could have vegged out some new plants and had them half flowered in the time it took to bring them back into a somewhat half decent shape so all you succeeded in is wasting time and electricity
