Aussie Growers Thread

Was thinkin dafuq you on about man wheres the questions at.. All good though, took me awhile to suss everythin out..

You got some nice lookin girls on the go.
Plants look huge compared to the pot size
Any good ideas of how to keep the smell down when drying? I’ll be using a dark spare bedroom with fans.. last yr I hung the branches in a grow tent with a fan. Also any good advice on is it best to hang them or lay on a screen or hang in the screened hanging baskets?? Also I seen a video of a guy drying in the hanging baskets for 4 days then sweated in a garbage bag overnight then hanged out again for some days before put into jars.. this is my 2nd cure so any advice on that would be appreciated cheers

If you want you could buy a small carbon filter hook it up to a fan and just have it on in the dry room.

wow,,, so basically im totally gonna have to go back to the drawing board, on this... i cant bring my self to cut the poles, so i;ll set it up in my shed without ac, for winter grows only and just get a standard 2.4 x 1.2 for my main grow, not sure my power bill would like two big tents at one time tho

Next grow i plan on movin pine posts out about a foot an widening it a mtr or so either end then runnin a scrog net across the frnt then one across the top of plants half way up to help spread them, then another net 2/3rds up from the top once plants have grown threw the first net. End up with a 6m lng by 1.5m high an wide wall of bud.

Yeah it seems a few places have shut down which is unfortunate.

Trying to stay away from a LM boka. I’m building a modular VM reflux column with tri clamp fittings. Once it’s done you’d be able to run it as ether a reflux or pot still depending on how you set it up (pot still by removing the reflux condenser and capping it and removing the packing from the column). Neutrals is what we’re chasing at first, eventually I want to switch the column to a plate system but that will be down the track a bit. We’re keen to make it ourselves as we’ve got access to the skills and the plumber mate can get his hands on any copper we need.
Well, you've certainly already done some homework on the differences/advantages/pitfalls of the different types.:)

As I said before, this isn't really an area of expertise for me, or of great interest (don't get me wrong - I love a good single malt Scotch or Irish Whiskey), 'cos I could just sit & drink the stuff like beer (I like the taste of concentrated malt:cool:), resulting in rapid onset of stumbling, slurring & unconsciousness.:wall:

I do own a pot still, but have only used it a couple of times to make Schnapps from the neighbour's fruit trees.

Sorry, I'd really like to help you out more on this, but I'd probably offer incorrect advice, which wouldn't sit well with my conscience.

Na man you’ve been helpful. I’ll definitely pick
Your brain when I get to the point I’ve got to start fermenting some washes, I’m sure you can get your hands on some decent yeast ;)

Rip into em
and the big floppy roof after i cut em,,,any idea's theres no going back, ,,,,,,,, steering towards a smaller 2.4 x 1.2 x 2

i'll just put it in my bedroom and see if the missus can put up with fans and smell for six months, during winter

Best to hang them. 60F at 60% RH for a min of 6 days is meant to be the key numbers.
