I'm going to mix up some super soil but use vegan options for the blood meal etc. One batch should last me the whole year. I just let it cook for a month or two and go from there. With Subcool's Super Soil (which is used as a concentrate) one only has to add water (and a little bit of sugars just after half way through budding). The super soil can be used as a top dressing as well. Just sounds quite simple imo, and that is how I like to keep em.

DJ short reckons soil is best, so does subcool. As I will be growing both their genetics I will run with soil. As for which is better, soil or hydro. Hydro, done correctly can beat soil, from what I have seen. But as for ease of use and consistent quality (high quality) - I'm sold on soil.

soil has a unique flavour

as does hydro

i like hydies, cause you set your timers and you can lock yourself out for a week

Definately 24 hours a day 7 days a week.. You dont want stagnant air

i dont know, im not dissagreeing, i used to leave them 24/7

but i hate the thought of a thirty whatt fan motor running 24/7, so i put mine on the same plug board i have my pumps on, that comes on ever 30mins on and off so the fans have a little rest but are switched on and off all day as watering occurs,

its freaky in there cause fans n shit turn on and off all the time like clockwork, day n night i spose im saveing

on my elec .

p.s my lights are venting outside and i have an a/c running on thermostat, so its pretty clean air inside.
So the pedistool fan just comes on and off blowing shit around,,, here n there..

its weed heaven

well if you think about it???

outside it gets windy then still again, then windy and still, like a pattern or sequence, not just always blowing a gail, all the time.

plus i have ventilation coverd by a centrifugal fan,, so theres always a fan on somewhere

@Cap 24/7!
@'ome- I would love to do soil indoors but am used to the speed and weight of hydro and always want more more MORE, just can't accept less. Also PERSONALLY have found it easier to maintain appropriate hygiene indoors with hyj, soil makes it easier to bring bugs in for me and harder to get them out. Usually do a few in pots outdoors then it's modified super soil, I have a big tub that just cooks year round, topped up whenever. By modified I don't mean I have some special secret to add, just tend to be a little more relaxed about actual composition.
I've said it before- this shit is a weed, it wants to grow like mad, you just have to let it. I'm not suprised H&G works, I've read it causes a few pH issues but I honestly find (with a few notable exceptions) it is really hard to fuck up growing this shit beyond repair.

Seedy I like the idea of the on/off fan cycles mimicking natural wind, just find my plants get way stronger under a permanent gale.

im not fussed, too much about that, i just set up, my chook wire, as support, a splash of silica suplement

and use the fans to prevent mold rather than create a jack in the beanstalk type trunk.

plus you need to under stand its the most ventilated air ive seen, completely airconditioned, so the a/c is blowing shit around its flippin square cube all day
