Wait, so Knickers your tellin me that Philips have been bullshiting me with the power usage consumption crap?
Daym :(

ah well.

A pound in Sydney! Arte you Karazay!
How do you even get a pound? (asside from growing it)

Peace
J
A Watt is actually a unit of heat and is used to measure power consumption. When talking Watts in relation to lights the rating of the bulb is how much power the bulb will use at a predetermined voltage and thus how much heat the bulb will produce as a byproduct. It is NOT an indication of how much light the bulb will express. So, this is why when using CFL's, because of how they are made and work, they produce their light more efficiently and produce far less heat thus equating to less Watts. However its also important to remember that they are primarily marketed now as a replacement for the old household Incandecant bulbs, and this is why they put the Wattage comparison on the packaging. All it means is that one of your 24w cfl bulbs will give of as much light as say 2 60w standard bulbs using 1/5th the power, but thats all. this cant be used as a comparison to any other types of bulbs (MH, HPS) or as a measure of how much light they will give out. hope that helps?

also a pound in syd will cost between 3k and 4k depending on who and where you get it from but 3500 is pretty standard. these days i could get a pound WAY easier than i can get a stick!

Have a read and you'll see why :)

Syd people, seriously, 3k-4k? I struggle to get a half for under $200 up there though so it makes sense I guess.. but jeepers thats expensive. 2.5k-3.2k for an elbow round me, and that 3.2k is some consistantly great shiz.

Sweet pic bro,

Hey does/has anybody ever used 100% perlite as a medium, without mixing it with another medium. Im looking at trialling this, in a few pots? Also how would it go in a flood & drain tray, would the white dust build up in the water tub?

yeah ive done clones in just perlite its good just make sure ya water ph at 5.8 and they go alright as far f+d just make sure you use flyscreen on ya in and out holes and you wont have a problem and perlite comes at a ph of 7 so ya got to soak that too like ya do your rockwool i think rw and hydron are better but each to there own
on another note i crackes the shits with dwc system stoped watering and giving a fuck then blam roots every where it does work
sorry about my lack of grammer
