yea trans right u would wanna bring in your own soil and as he said every year it wil just get better if u keep bringing in manure and compost and turning it over after a harvest.question is tho how big is your grow, if its 2 big i wouldnt bother with good soil
thats why less is more sometimes with guerillas, 1 big healthy watered plant or a bunch of neglected little ones..
Good point SCG

Indoor/outdoor i love it all! Yeh i got some outside, i just harvested one ive been shading since spring.
Wow ganjafarmer they are going to be monsters
Can i ask, pots or ground?, what strains?
yeah i hope they turn into monsters i got them all in the ground this year thought they would grow bigger this way, most of the plants are my dads strain but i also have wappa, acid superbud and some grapefruit, i topped them few weeks in i can't allow them to be to tall because of neighbours and junkies in area.
i'll get some flicks up soon if u want to have look

Hi mate.
We are expecting some decent rain this season so that really helps, but can be a pain too.
Ive found you need to bring in your own amended soil, dig a big hole and dump it in, that mountain soil is very sandy and nutrients and water just seep through like a sieve.
The good thing is thing is the hardwork now of amending your holes will pay off next season cos they will be even better, so keep topping them up over the year.
Guerillas seem easy but you will learn a whole lot your first year.
Id reccomend trellis/stakes for support and some chicken wire/cage or the like to keep the wildlife from making lunch out of your ladies.
Also get popping those seeds to get some size on before flower
Peace mate.
Thanks for the advice mate.

I wasn't sure about wildlife since we've read up about deer eating trees and we weren't sure whether we would need that, but our plan was to bring in our own pots as well!, submerge them in and cover in a layer of soil so its not obvious, since we were worried about the surrounding trees sucking up all the water. Around what time of the year does flowering start for us?

yeh everything will eat them out there mate, bugs etc. Use neem, bugs steer clear of neemed plants and its natural/organic.
Pots are good but make sure there big enough a) not to dry out between waterings b) enough food to see them through the cycle.
Flowering depends on how mature the plants are, whether sat or indy dom, but as a guide we start losing light at the end of december.
I could take one of my Indica clones outside now and she'd start flowering if you know what i mean.

Ahk, so should we stick with indoor for the rest of the year and go ahead with the guerilla grow next spring?

If you used this year to prep your holes you could grow some fucking monsters next season. Use the indoor grow to find the perfect clone
and drop them in next year, the well amended holes will retain good mositure (compost) and air ratio, means you can go alot longer between waterings and the roots will be well insulated. 1 clone per hole, 1-2 pound per plant, you only need a few.
just suggestions

Yeh, we probably skip out this season, maybe chuck down some clones we have at the moment to chase the sun, but in the meantime we'll veg out some of these incoming seeds look for some good genetics, and plant like crazy next season. Maybe we'll get high and go for the hike anyway to look for some potential spots.

Hey guys, Im from NSW, still a newbie I've only had two successful indoor grows (Bagseed, Doggies Big Bud). Expecting in a big order of seeds to come in this week, and me and my two best buddies are planning maybe three guerilla grows, out in the blue mountains about a distance from each other to maximise harvest. We've only been out there a few times with our girlfriends and shit, but we're going to be hiking around after uni exams to find really secluded grow spots. Does anybody know of any secluded areas? Nowhere specific of course, but like any areas in particular that gets drained into (like a basin) so it doesn't need alot of watering, so we can minimize our visiting times, maybe twice a month?

Good to see we have a community going here :)
yo, a good doco on guerrilla growing is KOGS - A GROWERS LOT. his from NSW also and has been growing outdoor/guerrilla for ages, should have a few good tips for ya. he explains like everything you need to know basically.

no way mate far from it, i was planning to pop beans into december.
You can grow all year round if the weathers good and use shading if you need (garbage bags, cover your plants to mimic 12/12 light hours)
Cheers Min good to see you here
