'Been reading back on this thread today in the hope of getting some valuable local knowledge, but it seems to get pretty heated between a few folks on occasions & huge chunks of conversations seem to have disappeared. Is it just the usual Aussies playful "bagging" each other that the US-based admin. folks don't get?? Are you lot creating sock accounts for the sole purpose of bagging each other? I kinda get it on one level, but I'm still confused at the same time!!!!!!!!

There's obviously a lot of very funny, knowledgeable, helpful & smart people here, but it's hard to work out what's going on a lot of the time.

I know I'm a newbie here, but WTF???? I'd like to ask some questions of a few helpful people, but they seem to have disappeared.

OK, thanks. I have a problem with precipitating nutrients in my F&D res. When I do a res. change, everything is fine. I'm using Professor's A+B at 1/2 strength & 50ml of H2O2 to keep everything sweet. pH is usually spot-on at 5.8. I've got an aquarium pump for constant circulation & a heater to keep everything at 20C.

Over a couple of days, the water becomes a bit cloudy & then BANG! Everything drops out suddenly & the water is clear again. pH drops to about 5. Then it'll swing back up. I'm due for a res. change today & it's currently on pH 6.35 & EC is 1.4.

I'm doing a sequential harvest & have already taken 340g+ (dried), with the remainder due to come down today, then do a thorough clean & reset with another lot of clones that have been in solo cups for way too long.

Rather than constantly chasing the pH up & down with acid & Potassium Hydroxide, is there something else I can do to keep the pH stable? I thought it was a problem with my pH pen, so I got fresh buffer solutions & recalibrated it, but the problem persists.

How big is the res and what strength is the H2O2? And what medium are you in?

Res. is 150L, so you'd think it would be resistant to fluctuations, yes?

H2O2 is 50% & only using ~ 50ml every few days. I also have a couple of airstones in the res.

Medium is coco/perlite in plastic pots, with 1-Gal fabrics on the outside to stop the coco getting into the res. (I'm running 9 plants in a 1.2m2 tent).

I've got two Aqua One Maxi 102's in the res. (which is about 1m2 & ~30cm deep). One is dedicated to recirculation 24/7 & the other does the F&D duty. I also use it to pump-out the res. when I'm doing a change. I tried using a bigger capacity pump for F&D duty, but it struck me as being too aggressive & didn't allow a slow, gentle flood of the pots.

I normally only grow OD & just use the inside system to get plants established in winter before they go out in spring. This is a first-time shits & giggles experiment to see if I can take plants to maturity inside.

Apparently, I've always been a weird cunt. Always been an outlier because of it. Nothing to do with weed (my personal use is minimal) or mental illness, but I certainly get the sentiment. Yeah, sure, I'll have an occasional "spat", but who doesn't? That's just part of being a human being.

Seems to me you are all over it. The only thing I can think is the H2O2 is bad. Otherwise cant explain those ph fluctuations. How are the plants? If they look ok Id just switch nute companies and move on
