Any of you blokes using coco and if so what is your preparation? also organic or salt?
I`m coming from soil/potting mix and also dwc.
About a week will be out of seedling mode and gotta decide to go with coco or stick to what I know.
Thanks.
I use coco, 0 prep just i use salt nutes, coco is good if you want semi hydro results with the ease of soil maintenance

Yes reuse most of it. Whatever breaks off the root ball easily goes back in the tub, the root ball goes to compost.

I flush the coco well before adding the lime so the PH stays pretty stable and I only feed to very minimal run off unless there is an issue
I've started running minimal to no run off lately and like the results so far, just a matter of getting your dry down periods dialled in, controlling the E.C of the Coco and you're sweet

perlite coco mix?

flush the coco real good?

calmag the coco before use?

nutes everyday or straight water alternating?

ph 6 start to finnish?

check ppm and ph in the runoff?

is it true you cant over water coco?

sorry for all the questions.

Yes

No

No

Nutes everyday/every watering

I like to be at 5.7/5.9 P.H for veg and early flower then I let it go up to 6.0/6.2

It doesn't hurt to monitor run off but input E.C and P.H are more important.

I've done coco and coco perlite treat em the same really coco perlite drys faster

Depends what coco you get if you need to flush cheap stuff yeah

I dont pre charge or buffer my coco and get no problems

Nutes everyday or judge by the plant sometimes a straight water feeding won't hurt if youve fed a bit heavy

Ph 5.8 ideally

No

You can over water if you're a sped with it one my mates managed it got root rot but he was watering so much
