You could reverse the Chem 91 P1 clone to make S1s and then grow out and reverse the S1s back to the P1 which would technically be a BX of sorts and not a Y-chromosome in sight. Assuming that the S1s displayed different phenotypes (always the same genotype) then you could select which S1s to use for the BX to fix the required traits and hone in on the P1.
