Yeah man. Haha see what they turn out like.
Took more ak clones just gonna keep them in rotation for awhile.
So my grows might be boring for awhile sorry in advance.
That's shit!! I'm just going to run clones after the last lot of bodhi beans flowers. Then I should be able to keep 6 strains in rotation. Im a bit the same sick of the unexpected when your pooping beans, sometimes its awesome though but clones are easy. I also want to focus on yield

Even if ur chasing quality a pheno hunt (even a small one) is worth it.

In veg, the HLG 650R leaves the nodes too tight for me.
Yeah it's just that while mine are healthy as have awesome thick stalks I would have liked them all another foot taller but the nodes are packed that tight...
I'll reserve veg judgement on final product
They are that strong and bushy I hardly need a net for support during flower but I may be surprised
Flipped em two days ago

I just can't do HPS cause I live in WA, The summers are too intense. Could you recommend a good brand of LEDS?
</snipped>
Maybe some of the Mars Hydro white LEDs.
"Marvelous HPS Replacement: Replaces effectively a 1000 watt HID while consuming 150 watts of actual power." And only just over $200 each for a pair of them.

RIU has a write up for new Mars Hydro, (but too pricey for you)

I see the Greenfinger lights are now as low as $132 inc postage.

Also, I looked up the Platinum lights and they appear old (but overhyped) technology e.g. 422W flowers 7'x 7'. The G720 effectively replaces a conventional 1000w HPS grow light while only consuming 422 watts of actual power.
How long ago did you buy your lights (and are they also Blurples)?

Them greenfingers are 200each with delivery and already got 2 sets of replacement hahahahahah. Just had no money to arm 2 tents.
I got some Platinum LEDS I imported from the US, but I probably wont buy em again
hlg, highlights, Samsung strips, bridgelux strips. There’s plenty of good options of led but you’ll need to get your wallet out.

if your into diy arrow has Samsung strips on sale pretty cheap atm.

I also think I'll drop my plant count and get double the size fabric pots next run

Nice bro.
Just chews through too much power, there's just no way I could fund expensive HPS lights in all my grows and the massive powerbill that comes along with it.
they don’t make massive power bills. You pay by the kwh anyway so pretty much any light you use will cost the same but not all lights will produce the same light etc.

Hps are actually cheaper to run than an aircon, heater, fridge, water system etc etc.

Like 2 years ago.

I have a hard enough time keeping the room cool with a few LEDS running. Beside my friend was doing the same thing and his power bill was huge.
Maybe when I'm an old fuck with my own property I'll make the investment.

trash. They’re all trash. And no fucking way does 150w of light replace a 1000w hps, thats just Fucking stupid and anybody that believes it a) Has never seen a 1000w light in person b) is pretty stupid.

yeah because blurples run hot as fuck that’s why.
People need to understand you don’t save money on power running leds. You don’t save money at all really, you just eliminate the need for an aircon for a bigger portion of the year sometimes.

I had an inkling. The LED world has grown up so much in those two years. Maybe you should have a look at those Arrow DIY lights and trade up.

LED efficiency/ efficacy puts some of the best LEDs on par with a 1000 W DE HPS at 2/3 the power draw, if they are to be believed. You pay for that up-front, but then the lights will last you up to 100,000 hours (over 22 years of constant 12/12 hour cycles). Even if you got half that, you'd still be well in front.

if your buying led lights and the justification for that is that they’ll use less power than a hps for the same amount of light your going to be disappointed. They only people that will actually see a difference in power are cunts running full commercial setups with rooms that contain multiple 600-1000w hps’s and the biggest place they’ll see the savings is on their ac bill.
