Ordered cal nitrate and mono ammonium phosphate just waiting for it. Fed her today with right ph 470 ppm of megacrop plus my 170 ppm tap water and some general hydroponics calmag i had lying around. Got about a 1 ec feeding 700 ppms.
Ditch the gh calmag. If you want to add mag (and I don’t think it’s needed) add some magnesium sulphate (Epsom salts) to the cal/nit foliar but mega has plenty of magnesium

Why is it mega ppm and tap water ppm
Its just one ppm when they are mixed together ?

If your plants health fungus gnatts won’t hurt them. For starters they eat fungus not roots and really they’re only an issue if you get them in you bud, some people don’t like bugs in their bud for some reason.
actually when fungus gnats run out of food they do attack the roots. not the flies. the larvae do. ive personally seen it and had to wash the soil from all my roots. re soil them and spray neem. not even a week later they were better.

im not saying this is what he has just saying in the future if it happens and the nutes arent working. its something to check for. you can have healthy plants but theres only so much it can take of larvae eating the roots. shitting everywhere and causing a root rot... but im just a new member i wouldnt know

I disagree. Gnatts won’t adversely effect a grow on their own. If something is going wrong it’s unlikely the gnatts are causing it. I’ve had some wicked bad gnatt infestations (like wash the buds bad) and still had healthy plants Through the entire grow. Hell most brands of coco come with the gnatts pre mixed into the medium.

Fungus gnat larvae eat the fine hairs of roots. Adults eat decaying matter ie. fungus. And people need to stop believing they do no harm because if the numbers are high enough they can do significant damage that I’ve experienced first hand.
