Any make oil from hash?
Plan on using the dry ice method on all my trim an small buds off the bottom of the plants as dry ice method seems to be the simplest way of makin hash.

Got some pics for ya jimy! Would of been better when the direct sun is off them but there will be more to come lol.

Could only get part of the r/h side of greenhouse in pic. Got my strains mixed up
May be the watermelon zkittles?
these girls are still a couple weeks away minimum. Starting to swell. Has big chunky buds already
Outside of the greenhouse haha.
have harvested 1 plant and taken the top colas off 4 of the plants (dry weight from that is 1 pound and 3 ozs and have about that again still drying!this will allow light to the buds mid way down to swell/densen and mature a bit more.
not the best pic but some of the colas are nearly a foot and a half long on a 4 to 4.5 foot tall plant!
still got a while to go on the cataract kush. Lower buds that haven’t received as much light are just about as dense as the top colas! Didn’t have much hope for her yield wise but she’s really started filling out in the last 3 or 4 days! just a late bloomer I think!?
going mad harvesting some of the more mature plants over the next few days, thankfully weather forecast is good where I am with low 30s to high 20s for the next week. Just watching closely for signs of bud rot thanks to the cats! (Not the meowing kind jimy
)But as deadmanwalking said I better get the lube ready....... but then again, I have a feeling he says that to all the boys!!

Can’t really help you here jimy, I haven’t done anything with leaves and popcorn bud for a long time! Bit of a waste really, but I used to make oil using butane, worked a treat but I always wondered if it wasn’t true that all the butane evaporates..... maybe that’s what’s wrong with me
I think rezas pretty clued up on it though....

You had any run ins with cats yet?
I get allot of those white moth/butterflies hanging round but so far have been lucky an havent had any caterpillas yet, think the dipel is doing its job due for another spray tonight or tomorro..
On certain days my crop will stink out half the block easily can only imagine how much your girls would be puttin out. Keeps the paranoia in check thats for sure.
Iv put a few pics recently of some of my plants dunno if ya seen them or not? Real impressed on how they have turned out so far. Reckon ill have some ready in the next cpl weeks max just startin to fatten up now but then theres more that probs need atleast 3 weeks or so then more that could probs go a month so harvest shouldn over run me to much but will have a fuck load no doubt.. Will get some pics up here for ya soon

Can i just decarb the hash in the oven the same way as you would with flower/bud

That cat kush should be good I had a vape cart of oil from that strain was A grade

Butane extraction is really used to make dab like oil which would normally need heating for its use. Not so much orally taken oil. If you did want to eat it I’d definitely make sure it’s purged correctly (which you should also make sure of if your smoking it, butane is nasty shit) and decarb as normal.

If you have a vac oven you could also theoretically decarb and purge in one step. Expensive but of kit but.

Greenhouse is 4mx3mx2m was just a cheapy just over $200 i think? But a small price to pay for that little bit of security that I didn’t already have
Yea, have had quite a few. Once every 3 or 4 days I have a good look at all the tops when the suns just coming up.
I also look for any traces of shit and intensely search that area. It’s good when you can remove them early.
Pretty sure those are cabbage butterfly.
I’ve had the odd one of those here and there but the worst is the smaller butterfly that looks like a moth.
smell has been surprisingly low. Itl stink big time if we get a little rain and have no wind!
But I learnt from last years outdoor not to grow skunks and chem strains lol.
I’ve gone for a lot of fruity strains this year like strawberry banana, watermelon zkittles, mango, kandy kush etc. which has helped a lot. Also having half the plants in the greenhouse with the scrubber fan has helped minimise smell for sure.
And no I didn’t see your pics, sounds awesome man!
ive found having different strains is making harvest easy. Not having to harvest everything all at once.
Did you find out if you had a P deficiency with that little bit of purpling going on or just genetics coming into play?

Has been more effort than It should of been. their in 100% coco and most in 5 gallon fabric pots, I was hand watering up to 4 times a day over the hot period. Worked out to having to water 80 pots a day lol. About 600 litres..... and add to that the caterpillars the random storm that blew the greenhouse cover off, snapping branches and the neighbours contractor on the roof!
Their only about 4 month old but it’s been a hard 4 months lol.
Yea quality strain for sure. Their starting to pack on the trichs now. Had a smell of it earlier and it’s starting to stink lol. May have to swap them out with a couple in the greenhouse... get them directly under the carbon filter. Off memory cataract kush is 3/4 og kush?
