I would have flipped them already DD. You want enough left of the screen to be able to still tuck for the first 2ish + weeks of stretch. The one in the bottom pic is fairly full already, n not much room left for tucking.

Rule of thumb is when the screen is about 75-80% full = flip. I lean towards 75% if I’m not sure how much they’ll stretch for the first run of a strain. And leave a fair bit of the screen left for tucking with a Sativa dom.

Ok had a few people say leave until it’s full. Well I’ll just do what I was thinking and run the nutes out then flip em.

You can do it like that, you’d probably want to defol a bit at week 2 or 3 after flip doing it that way, enough to keep good light on the bud sites above the screen.

I just prefer the other way and end up with a screen full of buds above.

As long as you can manage the hight, and light penetration after stretch, it’s all good.

I did a manifold this run, might scrog next one.

I’ll be doing some fairly crazy lollipopin only the top 30-45cm will get left I fucking hate trimming. I like manifolding just takes a bit long I’m looking to speed up the process a bit

Any advice on when to flip these girls I haven’t done a scrog before my gut is telling me to do it when my res is empty probably 5 days. Not sure if this is to soon or should I do another 14 days. Any thoughts welcome

I’d flip them now. I run the first weekish of flip on veg nutrients anyway because they’re still putting on new growth then switch to flower shit once they start throwing hairs

Crazy how much difference between these 2 green crack plants.

An before anyone points out the leaf tip curl i know an i pushed the girls hard with N but they haven got a feed apart from trace elements in roughly 3 weeks if not more an not plannin on feedin till flowerin kicks in more

What’s getting my dick hard atm is the highlights panels. 2 of them would do the area but 3 would allow you to run them softer and closer. Could also use 3 cutter or hlg panels or if your up for it 2ft bridglux strips might fit depending on the exact dimensions and any overlap. If you go strips/boards your looking at 35w/sqft or 420w for your space.

I've gone a week after looking into them and shut my eyes and still seen the lil squares of lights sometimes

as for removing fan leaves i do it underneath, but very reluctant to remove any up top, through the screen, preferring to tuck them outa the way(if i can) in flowering until they start yellowing then i might go in hard and remove some big ones and extend flowering by a month or so to get bigger more finished and matured nugs
