Okay so I took some lights off photos with flash on my phone when I shut room this morning.

I'm at D51F and just started reducing nutes to start flushing. I fucked up this run and gave them cal/mag lock out (I think) that showed up about halfway through flower and I could never quite pull them back from. I think my yield will have suffered 20% but just a guess. I let them dry out a little too much too often this run. I run at night and I'm not young and sometimes I pass the fuck out before watering. lol. I had been quite disciplined for years but slacked off this run a bit.
This is one reason I want to move away from salts and use the flood & drain tables to make it all dead easy and quick.

This is a little Bodhi Blueberry Hashplant (G13/HP leaner) that doesn't stretch much at all... she is in a 3L hempy bucket and has lived life on top of stacked upside down pots to raise her to canopy level and relegated to the edge of the garden but has done well for herself.

This is Dynasty Crater Lake V6 Huckleberry leaner def suffered a bit but great genetics are great genetics.

These last two are of Dark Horse King's Banner Joseph OG pheno (from what I can tell):

I had a couple their freebies and grew em out and both were great. I ended up keeping the GDP for ages. I was impressed with their gear even though I am pretty sure they are a bit creative with their naming of their gear.
I wasn’t ordering just a bit of seed porn but nothing on there site grabbed my eyes except the dick shaped bud lol

Here’s the small girl in flower. Dank weed just she wasn’t a grower. Her sister in veg though will be a decent pheno she want stop keep braking branches so she fits lol. I’ll be scrogging her.
Anyways

Thanks, mate.

Sorry to hear that. I still use same method I learned 20yrs ago on the internet.... very damp but not soaking paper towels in unclosed plastic bags (I like the real cheap thin freezer bags for this) and in a place 25-28c... the only troubles I've ever had were letting them get too hot (I killed 3 of my 5 Bro Grimm C99 seeds in 2002 that way, heartbreaking... but of the two left one was a spectacular female I still miss to this day)... or letting the paper towels dry out too much.... or letting them stay too long in there.

I'd say my germ success is 90% for decent genetics that aren't too old.

Much luck in your further attempts.

Fuck that tissue off. I soak mine in water then straight into eco pods their designed to pop seeds. I’ve had 100% with the last 25ish seeds. Your not one of those blokes that checks every 2 hours to see if they pop lol. I told one bloke about the eco pods he was like they don’t work. So I go round there and have a look and the idiot had ripped the pod in half to see if it was germinating. You can lead a horse to water but you cant make it drink lol

That's fair enough but I think their marketing strategy still pales in comparison to that of most synthetic companies with their shelves full of different additives, etc. ;)
The thing I don't get with the whole water only soil concept is why pigeon hole yourself from the start ? If a plant needs more food than what you have in your mix why not give it to it ?
Also the idea of organic grown being better quality than salt based grown is totally wrong, for my taste at the very high end of the quality scale I'd say it is but as you drop down the scale it levels out.

Water only soil is ok but I still prefer using organic nutes. I did the top dress thing to hard to keep it all balanced. I still have living soil just feed it a single part nute, best of both worlds

I think the water only concept is you can grow from start to finish with water only, not that you have to or that you can't improve it at all.
Some of these same companies do sell organic tea mixes, humic/fulvic acids, aloe, etc and amendments for going the no-till route.

These are some of the companies offering supersoils:

High quality organics are being made much easier these days and I'm willing to pay for that ease of use.

I'm not a greenthumb but I do okay for myself and I think my end product would be much improved for me in aroma and taste etc.

Don’t use easy organic’s I haven’t seen good yields. I’ve seen a few good growers use it locally with subpar yields
Quality smoke though

Don't get me wrong, I'm a big supporter and practitioner of organic methodologies both in my black market gardens and my real world occupation in agriculture. I do however see some major flaws in the way organics is practiced by many weed growers, the major one is the expectation that a pot smaller than 30 gallons can sustain a big enough microbial bio mass to fire an organic system effectively.

Thanks for the heads up.

I'm not approaching this from a point of knowledge. I'm just freshly sticking my dick in the dirt... lol... so I am open to any and all corrective advice I can get. I know that container size is a major issue but I have seen some decent results in 3gal, keeping the plants relatively small in a SOG like set-up.

It may very well be what I want to achieve can't be achieved. I may end up going the bottled organic route or run one more with synthetics (I have nearly full 5L bottles ffs lol) in a flood and drain to see if I can't dial it in much better with easier watering.

I am kinda bouncing ideas of the walls in my head... I'm keen to try organics but I may start a little slower.

I agree with you and that properly, well done synthetics can be quite good as well. I am just looking for that next level of smell, taste, etc.

If you want that next level smell taste etc why not just git good instead of learning from scratch again
