i personally like hydroton(clay balls). once it is rinsed clean it is so easy and clean to work with. i like a clean area so i suits me perfectly. the only thing with hydroton is that you have to water more frequently. hydroton doesnt retain water for long, but it is reuseable. what lighting are you using? hps or mh?

Thanks for the qiuck reply guys really appreciate it, i like the idea of being able to get the things from bunning a little less suspicious, with the coco and worm casting were are they available from, also smallclosetgrow, if i use the seedling soil to start of with when im ready to transplant do i need to use another type of soil once plant gets a little matured, also guys i am planning on doing the full grow with cfl's got a good little setup ready, got roughly 300w of cfl for veg

No worried cashman i will offer if i can but personally i get all my help from the real growers on this site. Its obvious who they are. Hey all i thought i would let you know my plant seems to be responding well. I mixed up some nutes, fish emolsion and nitrosol with water and gave her a dose yesterday. Came home this afternoon and she is looking ok. Seems to have stretched a lot but its outside now and not sure if thats normal. I also cut away those dieing leaves as there are small ones underneath and i figured they would just block the light from healthier ones. Also i took a pic of a pH test i carried out so a second opinion would be great.

Hey peeps. Anyone using hps, how do u go runnin it straight off the mains? Terms of power co. Def gettin a 400w but was thinking of a generator to run it. Any thoughts?

Your fine to run far more than 400W off mains without raising alarms, unless you have a digital meter which updates your usage half hourly and would be very easy to use to track power usage times (12/12 light patterns over months etc).

If I was going off grid it would be solar all the way. Fuck carting petrol to a generator!
