Attitude Top 10 List ? ? ?

Is it just me, or do any of you wonder about that list on the Attitude Home page? Barney's Farm has the top two slots with Critical Kush and Liberty Haze.
I've grown a few BF strains with mixed results, but this list seems pretty bogus to me.
These days folks seem to be into Kush, Berry, and sublime taste/aroma strains.
What do you think the REAL top 10 are?

Fruit flavors are always nice. But pot can and does taste like almost anything... I like all different tastes, what I try to stay away from, are the weird or sickly sweet flavor, ditchy, woody, harsh taste. I don't really care for the flavor of Black Licorice or onions but I'm open to almost anything else though :)

I also love complexity and reverberation in the terpenes. Tastes that bounces around in your mouth, and oozes down your throat and doesn't go away for a while. It also circulates through the sinuses and comes back down to form a complete circle of delight :)

Yea, There is diversity in nature. Have you tried Sage by TH Seeds?
I was thinking more like
1. Bubba Kush
2. Girl Scout cookies
3. AK47
4. Chocolope
5. Purple OG
etc.

I just don't see how Attitude's list can be accurate.

It might be accurate though, remember Liberty Haze won the cup and not everyone takes their time to educate themselves before buying. There are a multitude of Bubblegums out there but I'd only grow Serious Seeds and BOGS. I don't know anyone who runs Green House or Barneys, but they sell a shit ton of their beans.

My wife was in Amsterdamn around the same time Sage took the cup, she said it was the only strain that they really enjoyed!!

Good list going... my list would be more like

1. Sensi Star (if only regs were still around)
2. Bubblegum
3. DJ Blueberry
4. Berry White BX
5. Motivation
6. Super Star

OK. I always assume that when someone spends that much money on 6 tiny little seeds, that they would take the time to evaluate the product. I, myself purchased BF Tangerine Dream on a whim because it won the cup and it turned out to be a terrible plant (only one seed).
We have Sage N Sour and it is WAY too strong for me. But used for back pain and insomnia on others. Watch out for the coughing fit! The taste is sooo different.
We had Sensi Star up until a few days ago.
We also have the original Motavation by Magus. Serious Seeds took it and changed the spelling. Not sure if they also changed the genetics.
With all the medical news I would think CBD Crew would get more play outta the tude.

I think its pretty much correct the top 10 they show it reflects the folk who i think are mostly buying seeds
the strains that folk will talk about on forums are not the same strains much of the weed buying general public are aware of

that is very much the case in the uk, i am sure in the usa folk are more aware of different strains

many more established growers will be growing from clone, i like to do seed runs too myself
i believe most seed bought come from new growers starting out, folk are most likely to start off with seeds
you will notice the older well known strains always do well, and whatever wins the cannabis cup will normally be in the top 10 too
fems do well to with seed sales

the seed industry is not regulated in anyway, so many of the so called breeders are simply con men making a quick bit of money

The top 10 is whatever you like, taste changes over time, i have kept plants when they become boring
they get replaced with what i currently like

peace

If you like that og lemon fuel flavor, you should try to OG Raskals White Fire. I have 2 different phenos with the stretchy one just dripping in resin with that uber dank stank! I'm also running a Sensi Star that smells like lemons too, but alot different. It is a sweet lemon flavor and is completely covered in trichs. It has a pretty strong smell. Then I have a Devil's Harvest Strawberry Sour Diesel that has big chunky buds that are covered in a descent layer of frost. I'm on Day 40 of 12/12, so I will have more to say after they are finished. They all look like something special. As far as Attitude's Top 10 List goes, I think that is is based on their seed sales as a whole on that year. Something along those lines anyways.

I agree with this, I only found out about strains such as Blue Dream and some of the elite clones when I started researching seeds online. The majority of stuff you get around my area of the UK is Cheese(UK, Exodus, Big Buddah etc) and Amnesia. Occasionally you come across something different, like Northern Lights, Super Silver Haze and Lemon Haze then very rarely you'll get something like Durban Poison(once), White Rhino(once) and I've not had it myself, but apparently Black Widow was floating around a little while ago, never got any though! :(

But back to the OP's question, I think you'll find that the Top 10 list is actually a popularity list. More people are buying those seeds because of the hype surrounding them, whether it be cups, forums or word of mouth, people lap up statistics and "awards" which is in speech marks because High Times are apparently very, very bias to certain breeders or something along those lines. You'll find that the recommended by Attitude is a better list, as it doesn't include as many cash cropping strains, they're more connoisseur.

OGRWF sounds like the bomb. Will keep that one in mind. Your Sensi Star sounds better than the one I had, although ours was still good in many ways.
Strawberry Sour Diesel? Yum!
Too bad about the list on Attitude. I wondered also if it wasn't a rounded number based on sales for the year or 1/2 year. Seems like it only changes after the cup in Amdam.

The Top 10 list is really: "this is what we have the most seeds of" and would like to get rid of them. Honestly, there are a few on the list that just don't make any sense. You would think all the larger seed banks would have similar strains on top which is not the case- look at Herbies and Sea of Seeds and compare to Attitude- NOT EVEN CLOSE!~

Barney's Farm is one of the most marketed breeders on Attitude.
Doesn't suprise me at all that they are top sellers, even if they do suck.

Walmart sells a lot of shit as well.

Top 10 likely means the top 10 sellers. Not everyone trolls RIU, Grasscity, ICMag, etc. like us.
That's right, and don't forget Attitude ships all over the planet, not just to the USA, so their tally includes ceeds sold elsewhere in Europe, etc.

Ten most popular ceeds don't necessarily mean ten best, and usually in these type of "contests" the most popular just means blandest or most advertised.

Yep, I bet you hit that right on the nail. It's cynical, but that is business. Push the overflow inventory and profit margins.
