Hello everyone, Im just looking for a bit of info, Ive been reading alot and watching alot of videos about topping/femming etc, Ive got some amnesia haze which i figured would be my experimental plant, I have decided to mainline and top it with some lst when its needed my question is after the first topping..to try and achieve more than two main colas where would my next top cuts be? Would it be on the side branches located under my original topping? Iv'e probably worded this badly but basically how would I go about getting mpre than two main colas on this plant? All input welcome..16348479979397067225567458542863.jpg

Welp you kinda limited yourself by topping back and only leaving basically one node… so your best bet right now would be to LST and tie down each of those main stems, but taking a closer look it seems like you’ve wiped out the bud sites underneath those two tops?? I know you’re looking for more than two colas but you’ve basically limited yourself to two colas by doing the pruning that’s already done. At this point you could really only LST and try to top those two stems again after they develop a few more nodes.

You need to let it veg a little before you cut anymore.

Topping is cool and fun but imo not the best way to get multiple tops. Best way is to let the plant grow but keep it under a net. That way every node basically becomes a top.

If you do it correct you end up with 20 or 30 tops.

Blurples are ok lights to start growing. But you are going to upgrade it eventually. So in the end they are a waste cause Every single person replaces them with a better light.

i can see the nub from you removing a node, so you probably should have asked before you got trigger-happy.

If you want to try and turn her into a more bushy squat plant, transplant that thing up to the about an inch from your lowest leaves, bury that stem, that plant is gonna be taller than you at this point. Let it grow for a week or two and top some of the new growth.

Just bend those 2 nodes down horizontally and secondary growth will appear with veg time . The plant will have equal light distribution then repeat the topping for the plant to bush out for multiple tops. You will gain more mass as the plant gets bushier. Try a metal halide blue spectrum for squat bushy growth or a recommended LED .

I'll second this...

All you do is tie down those 2 main shoots so they grow flat out horizontally then you will get side branches that you tie down as well it’s super simple. Go check out grow weed easy mainline tutorial it has derailed directions with pictures. Or you could top each one of those 2 mains and make 4 or Fim them and make 4 on each one.

Thankyou everyone for your input, I used a scrog and ties with my last grow (first grow) and managed to get some large colas but didnt have access to them through a large part of the veg stage, reading alot and find it all very interesting alot of different methods theories etc, So im open to any advice on being efficient during veg, So using a scrog and weaving has a similar effect too mainlining?

TOP/FIM, SCROG, LST, Mainlining, theres more than one way to skin a cat. For one plant, I personally would LST the crap out of that one so you have the benefit of spinning her around in bloom. I use binder clips and pipe cleaners, multi use and fairly cheap.

Ah thankyou! So If I had left more than one node the branches on say a second node could have potentially turned into colas also? I was going with this manlining technique I had been reading about to create a central hub from that one node, and then doing as you mention topping the grown branches to try and create multiple colas stemming from that original node. Hopefully it works depending how it goes I may well just stick to topping/lst not mainlining.
