Attaching fan to filter? (new to indoor)

Hola. I'm new here, but not new to horticulture. I've been an avid outdoor grower for about 8 years (I also own a tree farm, so I love to grow everything!); however, I am giving indoor growing a try so I have something to do in the winter months. Anywho, I've uploaded a picture of a Phresh filter (16"x6") and a 400 CFM inline fan from HydroFarm (I hope these are quality products?) My question is: it would seem logical to have the inline fan attached directly to the filter and then fed through my hood and out through the roof of my tent; however, I'm not sure how to attach these two pieces together? A simple metal band will clearly not work. Any input would be appreciated. :)

I would use a few tech screws and some duct tape to seal the edges. That's how I did mine and it works fine.

I run the same fan and filter. use a small piece of flex duct between fan and filter. use clamps to hold it.

Thanks for the advice. I have a lot of extra ducting from some remodeling work I did in my laundry room (just happens to be 6" also!).
