Starts shipping Feb 18th. Designed to use the same 54a drivers as his panels. I have pre ordered 2 of the 4ft so I will let you guys know what I think. Will be adding them along side 2 of his panels covering a 2x4. So 2x 288 v2 and 2 4ft strips turned way down for efficiency. Keep you updated.
Looks like it comes with the heatsink? If so, that's a damn sweet deal! I was already eyeballing and salivating, but that would pretty much cinch it. I think my next build will be 5 of the 2-footers in a 2x4.

I currently have a v1 qb 260 watt kit and just had 2 of the atreum 144.2 boards delivered to supplement my 3x4 space.

They suggest a HLG-120H-36A to run 2 of the 144.2 recommending them to be ran at 60 watts per board.

Anyone running these know if there just being conservative with these suggestions?

I run several of the 144.2 boards.

60w is just the recommended wattage to run them at without heatsink. It’s merely a suggestion.
They can be ran much harder or much softer.

I run mine at 35-40w for efficiency because I have so many of them.

those boards are 54v at 2200ma
if you wire in series and use the constant current driver (hlg-240h-c2100a) your two boards will be using ~108v (~54v * 2 in series) of the 119v at which the driver is capable of pushing 2.1a. this means that your boards will run at 113w each, despite the driver being capable of pushing 240w, you'll be using 230w
if you wire in parallel and use the constant voltage driver (hlg-240h-54a) your two boards will split the full current of the driver (4.45A/2= 2200mA each)
this means your boards will run at 120w each maxing out the driver.

in this case i'd say its really personal preference
Keep in mind a 240 type a can really push about 250-260w maxed. The type a drivers from hlg can push 5-10% more than they are actually rated for. Its the reason a 48a can max out 288v2s but 54a/b is needed for the 288v1.

I have a few 144.2s mounted to individual 12x12x.125 aluminum.
I’ll be mounting 4 of these to a frame. Should I keep them on the aluminum plates or just mount them bare to my frame?
Is the plate value added enough?
Or would I just be adding unnecessary weight?

I'd leave the plate. I run atreum 360s at 100 watts with 1/8 aluminum for a heatsink. It's been working great.

I guess part of my reasoning for not using the plate heatsink is because the 144 isn’t exactly flat and only has 4 holes in the corners so it’s not flush with the plate.
My thinking is that heat will not be efficiently transferred and between the two surfaces and will be trapped in the air gap.

Thermal compound/paste will fix that.

Any feedback on the strips?
