Atreum Lights - Meanwell Drivers; how long do they last?

Atreum finally reponded to me. Told me that Both items are out of their warranty period. They also said theirs nothing they can do to check/fix/repair with either light packages because they do not sell or stock them anymore. But they gave me a coupon code to buy their "new and improved" lights and yea thats clearly not gonna happen.

I did some more testing with the XLG240 and found that if i push in the backplate, where the IO adjustment is, the dimming function and current adjustment works. But once i let go, it goes back to the lowest light setting and the IO and dimmer stop responding. SOO i think something might be lose internally. Going to try to talk to Meanwell again and see if they can come up with a solution, if not just going to call it a loss.

Try to get Atreum to help you with warranty service with meanwell, those HLG drivers have 5 or more years of warranty.
That xlg driver, is there any screws you could tighten? Or if this push fix is the only way then is there a way you could screw the driver itself onto something so that the back plate remains pushed in properly? If you go this route: try to cover as little of the backplate as possible. The driver should be as free standing as possible in order to for heat to dissipate. Maybe get a fan to blow over the driver if u feel it gets too hot. Best of luck

I talked to Meanwell Sales and Tech dept, both told me they cant help me w/ the RMA and it has to be done via the Company. Atreum is not going to help and told me to call Meanwell direct. So no help on both ends. Tried calling back to ask about how when i push in the back it seems to work, but keep getting disconnected or sent to voicemail.

Not sure about the screws on the driver, i have to double check that. I was thinking i can wrap it with some nylon straps, at this point im just going to buy another driver because the light still works.

Atreum is a UK company, right? You can try to look at the Sale of Goods act which means you have legal rights directly with the retailer for up to 6 years after purchase, especially if you can get meanwell to say that there was a manufacturing fault on the driver. Atreum will say no but they have the same rights with meanwell or their distributor. But i agree, your probably best of getting a new driver and forgeddabadit
