Questions,questions,questions....
(Inside my head...)

If each panel -together with it's driver- has an electrical power of 25 Watt ( approx.) ...
Then ...

1) Which other light source ,hypothetically speaking/thinking ,would have manage to support a plant like that ?

Would 3 x 25 Watt of CFLs' ,have been that efficient ?
(Nop..Don't think so....)
Would a 70 Watt HPS ?
Would 75 Watt of T5s' ?


2) Could any other light source, have provided the light needed,to a really sick/poisoned plant ,so to finish like that ?

Why I think ,that only leds can do such a thing ?
Am I mistaken ?
In few days ,she is going to be harvested....
She was a total failure,anyway...

Added one more panel of 8CW.12WW.4 Red 630 *....
Under two panels....
With two 24 Volt (taken from the guts of an old pro-final amplifier) fans ,to move the relatively stagnant air of the closet ....
Plus to aid the heat-dissipation of the passive heatsinks....

Cycle : 24/0

Irrigation : RO water ,with a bit of Epsom salt ( MgSO[SUB]4[/SUB] ) ,citric acid ( E330 )& Potassium Nitrate ( KNO[SUB]3[/SUB] ) .
Also,10 ml per liter of water , liquid Maxicrop (Ascophyllum Nodosum extract ) is added.

Temp: 27° C

Blue [SUB]400-499 nm[/SUB]
: 14 % of flux. Peak : 450-455 nm

Green [SUB]500-599 nm[/SUB]
: 36 % of flux.Peak : 590-595 nm (at yellows/ambers )

Red [SUB]600-699 nm [/SUB]
: 47 % of flux .Peak :625-630 nm

Far Red [SUB]700-750 nm[/SUB]
: 3 % of flux .Peak :700 nm

nevertheless i see very powerfull buds..!
maybe your ladies had a bad start but the continuity was amazing..!

You probably know me , better than that....
( If you were a member of the old forum....)
For my standards,that's a total failure...
Although ,the bud quality is much higher than of HID (yes,even from " MH buds "... ) ..
...
Been " testing"/ "tasting" her ,for some time now....Meaning ,few buds are ...missin',from the picture..
:weed: (Can't get a grip of myshelf,for that matter...Amongst others... )
..But thanx anyway,brother...

3rd week of flowering.. blueberry as i thought is growing like crazy under hps.today her height is 90 cm.



here is a bud from the top of blueberry,,



we also left a part of the white russian male plant we have in a bag together with a branch of blueberry...



the two white russians under the led panels are doing fine and they seem to love the combination of topping and lst under led lights. they count together 24 tops... thick and bushy. 45 cm their height





here are together.

What about some led-bud pics ?

How is flowering under the leds ? ( 150 Watt in plug , approx. with drivers.. Where HPS is more than 430 Watt ,with ballast ..)

The new buckets ,also,seem to work fine....

^^^^^YES you can get those results under 70w hps(ballast watts?) and a single WR plant(with training).......but she is doing wonderfully, given the "circumstances"......great work SDS

Well..Yes...The "circumstances"..
She is not trained...Just topped...
She was about 6" high when she entered flowering ..
With just a few leaves...
Adding non-ionic surfactant to peat (black ) / perlite has many pros'...
But serious cons',also...
Maximum dose is 100 ppm every week ..( 100 mg / lt ,once a week... )..
I blew it....Totally blew it.....Gave her over 500 mg everyday !..For many days....
Plus the non-ionic surfactants that the Millers,contain....
I've poisoned seriously,her few leaves that she had from the worst ever veggin' ...

A strain that , usually,needs it's characteristic thick canopy to produce...
( WR ,if not mistaken ,is considered to be amongst the "heavy yielders"...
I also think, Mr X ,did his 2.something g/w with a WR..... )

What I know ,also ,is that HPS ,aren't so efficient at low wattages....
Never grown with ...
Seen some grows ,from pics only..Not impressed...
Dunno really,if a 70 Watt hps ,could have done the same or even better,regarding quantity of bud....
But I trust to what you claim ....
But...
For sure though,the quality of these led bud,no way on earth,could have been reached, by a 70 Watt HPS / CFL /T5 ....
Trust me,this time...

The evidence is clear- the reason every living plant can absorb any photon BUT green- is that the green photon being precisely a 90 degree phase angle or tilt, is exactly OPPOSITE to phase conjugate. Lots of good physics there, It kind of explains why discrete colors of diodes may not be the best choice.
Wherever multiple frequencies of light intersect, the field and orientation of the photons will be turbulent.
If this intersection is on a part of the plant????????

Could be almost as bad as giving half the plant blue and half red. Could confuse the plant at best.

Given enough space and time the light will become more coherent and the poles of the photons will tend to align.

Antenna and waveguide theory give insight into this. (reflected energy)
Think antenna/waveguide vs. antenna pigment/photoreceptor.

lighting source and multifunctional applications. In this work, Simulation studies using optical analysis software
packages, Light Tools, are presented. This is done to estimate the uniformity ratio of illuminance and photosynthetic
photon flux density (PPFD) of the periodic 2D lattice arrangements, such as square, diamond, two-way bias
quadrangular, hexagonal, and Kagome lattices, under the same transmissivity, absorptance and reflectivity. It has been
found out that the two-dimensional Kagome lattice arrangement exhibited high uniformity ratio of illuminance and
PPFD compared to other lattices. Accordingly, these results can be used to guide a design and improve the lighting
environment which in turn would maximize the uniform distributions of illuminance.
