Your examples of what is a cult is not particularly well thought out. Wouldn't you agree?A " Cult",No. Usually that entails viewing the leader as a literal ( maybe somewhat) incarnation of God/ or son of. ie; Most likely giving your wife to the leader, doing exactly as the Cult leader demands, robbery, murder, group sex, etc.
Point - Sanders clearly asked his voters to support hillary. If he was a cult leader and his followers "cultists", they all would have supported Clinton.
So basically, that is the eqiuvalent of telling jim jones to shove that kool aid up his ass... not quite the perfect cultist...
that must have really pissed you guys off after all the effort you and your comrades put into trying to divide the partySanders clearly asked his voters to support hillary.

Here is what people who deal with cults and cult followers say about it:
Signs that people are members of a cult:
1. Opposing critical thinking
2. Isolating members and penalizing them for leaving
3. Emphasizing special doctrines outside scripture
4. Seeking inappropriate loyalty to their leaders
5. Dishonoring the family unit
6. Crossing Biblical boundaries of behavior (versus sexual purity and personal ownership)
7. Separation from the Church
Wouldn't you agree that the "Bernie 2020" movement has many if not all the hallmarks of a cult?
... drivel snipped ...
The Democratic Party is NOT the solution, cultist- it's part of the problem and has been for over 40 years.
... ditto the additional drivel
No,not at all.Your examples of what is a cult is not particularly well thought out. Wouldn't you agree?

Butthurt much?Stomping feet and crying loudly "give us bernie or we will give you trump!"

you are angry ?
Butthurt much?
We will do it again too, bud. buckle up
BANGARANGDon't concern yourself, young man.
You will grow up someday ...
maybe.
I posted a thread about Trump supporters who are acting very much like they are members of a cult. Come to think of it, are Sanders supporters a cult?

I mean, they are getting tatoos, alienating friends and family, failing to listen to alternative viewpoints, even arguing with people who say they like Bernie but can't commit to him right now. As in "so who DO you support for president?" As if anybody has to make a choice RIGHT NOW in the vacuum of information of whose even going to be running 3 years from now.
Let's talk about line item 1, "Opposing critical thinking". These Bernie cultists call anybody who isn't "a progressive" (which to them really means "radical" in English) the worst names. Most often Neoliberal, which hardly describes anybody who supports the ACA if not universal healthcare. I mean, if Bernie were a progressive, why doesn't he support progress, which is what the ACA is all about? But nope, Bernie is on record castigating the ACA and everybody who helped get healthcare in place for more than 20 million people who did not have healthcare before.
Also, referring to number 6, they insist that their leader is a progressive when he hasn't done anything What kind of "progress" is that? If you look at what Bernie advocates, if every Democrat followed his lead, there would not be a chance of flipping the House this year. All this in the name of purity of policy.
Not to mention that Bernie is not really a Democrat, he's an independent. (line item 7)
BANGARANG
You never watched HOOK?Perfect!
Just more gibberish from a guy who cannot recognize reality.

Most cult members don’t even know they’re in a cult, while some are afraid to leave for fear of the cult leader’s repercussions against them. Many have been programmed or “brain washed” and need to be deprogrammed or debriefed once they leave, but to get them to leave is often very difficult because the cult doesn’t allow non-members into their property or compound. A few cult members become disenfranchised or disillusioned and simply walk out (some say they had to escape under cover of darkness), but most former cultists say it’s not easy to get out.
I know that many Bernie Sanders cult members have not yet recognized the dire straits they are in. A few posts up, I posted a list of the attributes of a religious cult, such as the Christian Trump cult. It being that a Sanders cultist is liberal, I'm certain that they can see analogies between a religious cult and one of personality. Take a look at that list and consider it.
There is quite a bit of information out there to help person work through the significant issues of recovering from being in a cult.
Stay connected with people outside your cult and call on them when you decide it's time to leave the cult of Bernie. Ask them for their opinion and listen without comment. Listening without comment is impossible for Bernie cultists but this is the first step. If you can simply listen, whether or not you agree right away, you will have taken the first step. I wish I could help more but this being a pot board, all I ask is keep questioning your beliefs and stay in touch.
Quite the opposite. I really hope Bernie runs and I hope he proves to be the best in the field. The real problem with Bernie Sanders cultists is that even Bernie wants to have nothing to do with them. You yourself said Bernie didn't do what you wanted in 2016. Why did you say that? He clearly isn't who you want him to be. You hold a false image of him.Man, it must really bother you that Sanders is going to run 2020, and is more popular than any Candidate the DNC will pull.
Hahahahahaha
Excellent. I look forward to your outstanding support.I really hope Bernie runs and I hope he proves to be the best in the field.
A good way for you to begin to work your way out of the cult if if you begin to listen without comment to what people are saying for the entire statement.Excellent. I look forward to your outstanding support.
One example of how Sanders Cult members are "crossing biblical boundaries of behavior" is how they defend racist behavior or more accurately put, oppose those who oppose racists. Since the 1960's Democrats have supported civil rights of minorities and opposed racists in their attempts to roll back those rights. Democrats, myself included feel very strongly that civil rights are not negotiable. Yet, Sanders Cult members say that civil rights are something that can be treated as a convenience.Signs that people are members of a cult:

See what I mean? Intellectually dishonest, thank you for proving my pointOne example of how Sanders Cult members are "crossing biblical boundaries of behavior" is how they defend racist behavior or more accurately put, oppose those who oppose racists. For example, last summer there was great debate by Sanders Cult members @Padawanbater2 and @ttystikk who were adamant that liberals should just let radical white racists own the streets of Charlottesville instead of confronting them.
This would be line item 6 in the above list.
