Anyone find autos a waste of time?

I just can't believe the non believers. Night Owl(Daz) made Mango Isle(my above plant). It's genes are Ace Seeds landrace Zamaldica x Mephisto Fantasmo Express(auto form of Rare Dankness Ghost Train Haze 1) crossed with Mephisto Mango Isle(MR Nice Mango Haze). So they are telling me that the SINGLE tiny gene of rudarailus tarnished Ace Seeds, Rare Dankness AND Mr Nice/Shanti and all the hard work they did? Nope. Top tier genes from real OG breeders made to auto. To each their own, but when i see Daz ACTUALLY making projects like the Bruce Banner WITH Darkhorse instead of just using others genetics cause they credited them in the description(Mephisto), it reassures me that my commitment to autos is worth it.

I top AND grow in coco and most all Mephisto strains have easily been 4 to 5 weeks before flowering. For those that swear topping delays/stunts(i don't look at a long veg as a stunted plant) i can agree here and i think the coco definitely lets the roots grow more and longer veg than. I think you can delay with these 2 things, but still determined by the plant and not the grower.

I have always topped and been in coco. Sometimes, I'll go perlite if it's all I've got. I've never had a plant flower that fast. My most used pots are the 2.2 gal square autopots. I also have 3 gal oxypots, but in my 2.2 gals, it has to be a worked fast flowerer, because i just always have good sized plants. It's not like i go anywhere but the Auto section these days, so my pictures are here and there, but they are there. Coco would make sense to delay, as even with photos they grow faster than in soil. Faster and delayed are different, but so is auto and photo. They could just react different ways. I would give it a go.Thanks. I need to try this

I grow in my garage. It's well insulated, but past mid-June it's too hot. On March 1 I did the math and photos weren't going to work. I popped these 3BOG beans and they grew their first leaves on March 7. They are now 6 weeks from seed. They'll be completely done by June 1. The ambient temp and RH in my back bathroom are ideal then and I can hang them for 10 days with a humidifier running in the adjacent room. Then I jar everything and start planning my trips. Autos are a lifestyle solution for people who just want to have a few jars in the closet until you run low and do another run. They are tricky, but once you find the right seeds supply you are set.

just got these: Gnome (blackstrap)(F-7) - Magic Strains (bubba trouble)(F-4) Mutant (Speedway seeds) Citrus Bubble - yields are 1lb +15gallon pot ---7oz =5 gallon also Atlas Seeds and Night Owl (microverse) (F-5) understand that he higher "f" the more stable -- anyone have experience strains?

I’ve had some that were fire and some that were mid. I prefer photos though and now that my space is much more limited there’s no room to keep one in the veg tent.

They really are. For me it's not the short outdoor season, but I'm lazy. I don't even want to dick with a timer for lights. Plus i am born, raised and lived my entire life in Buffalo. My heat is 62f in the blizzard assed winter. I like that they will grow as long as i feed and give light at a bare minimum and look what i can get? Where are all the PhOto growers who trash autos and never seem to show their great photos? I love tham and very rarely even will grow photos now a days.

Autos have gotten so much better since I tried them around about 2015 or so. Literally the only reason I don't run them these days is the inability to clone them.

About 3 hrs east of you. I grow in a basement and supplement heat during winter. In summer it’s perfect. I grow photos as well as autos. Doing two ethos mandarin Zkittlez R1 girls in one tent gonna be a nice harvest. 2nd week in flower
And took clones for OD. Next in this tent is a breeding project. Seedsman sugar haze regs, trainwreck regs and freebie Zkittlez BX1 from microverse beans… then the hunt begins!

Honestly at 1st the idea was photos in the hot summer where i can save power and autos in wintwr when i can go 24/0 and use the extra heat.

It’s what I thought as well… then add a tent to make two… then I get bored! Got approx 60 days in the photo tent til I start a photo breeding project using Seedsman sugar haze, trainwreck (bag seed) and multiverse beans freebie… Zkittlez BX1 . All regs. Gonna do 12/12

That's what I do. I run auto or photo depending on outside temps and time of year, My last run was photo Ethos Mandarin Cookies. It was 4 1/2 months though. Being able to cut the lights off for 12 hours made managing the temps doable. I've started doing 20/4 with autos. I did 24/0 forever. The 4 hours seem to rejuvenate them.
