I found these reflective rolls at Lowes. It's called reflectix insulation. It's thin but padded like with reflective bubble rap. Anyone ever use that? If so does it work pretty good?
Hey,thanks lighthouse I`ll check that stuff out @ lowes.I`m always lookin for something new. I try to stay out of the grow shops prices are to high.Ok thank you! I was trying decide on getting that or emergency blankets. I had ran into that last night at Lowes. It would be much easier hanging that then a bunch of emergency blankets. And since i have enclosed an area in attic with plastic walls, that will help to keep it a little warmer in there too. Cool! Thanks for your pictures!Great looking plants!

It's all I use lighthouse, mylar on bubblepad. Durable and great reflection. I use it as a wall skin over a 2"x4" frame, roll it up to get at my plants instead of using doors or removable walls. Easy to use, easy to install, durable, poke a hole in it and it's fine. I've got 3 grow boxes made with Reflectix, can't say enough good things about it.

Yield depends on strain, lights, fertilizers, size pots, veggin time, plant size, etc... This stuff will only help the reflective capabilities of what you're using.dam, im pretty late on this thread but doesnt anyone know abt the apprx yield wen using this reflectix stuff??
I've got an old extra windshield shade, and I was going to try using that to line a PC case if I do that instead of a closet grow.I found these reflective rolls at Lowes. thnx. let me try to reword my question. do u think that using Reflectix would hinder yield in any way? vs using mylar or panda film etc?.. thnx in advance for your helpYield depends on strain, lights, fertilizers, size pots, veggin time, plant size, etc... I use it and i love it. Especially where im forced to grow now is very cold and this stuff keeps the heat in. With that being said, make sure you have a good exhaust fan setup.
Whats even better is you can bring it down and reuse forever. Easy to clean (if you need to) and easy to install.
It's radiant insulation so yeah, it will keep heat in. Poly film is probably your best bet if you want minimal insulation but something that will reflect light.Where I'm growing is also pretty cold, I made the newbiest mistake of lining my grow box with tin foil, but have been told that it's a) not reflective enough and b) too much of a heat trap... My box is too hot with just CFLs and I have to prop the lid to keep it between 75-80f. Do you think that the Reflectix would be better? I know it will be more reflective, but need something that won't hold on to heat?
