kandy kush shouldn't have lemon. Lemon is gonna be a loosing pheno(or winner depending on how you look at it i guess lol) from the trainwreck side. hell I've even had some lemon tasting LA confidential..... definite looser! i had some kandy kush that was so fuely funky goodness with a serious hint of cat piss ammonia. Ive heard a lot of horror stories about loosing phenos from Kandy kush tho so don't feel bad you caught some lemons. I've found that limy lemon rind pheno in a few strains now and most of them had trainwreck somewhere in there lineage.

P.s. are you growing with a 3 part nutrient line? IE gen hydro or jungle juice or Humboldt 3 part. I've found that these 3 part lines tend to encourage that lemon flavor to come out big time. i worked at a grow shop for about a year and got to sample 100's of growers goods that i knew what they used and how. pretty much everything grown in gen hydro taste the same, i got to where i could tell it was GH by the smell, then jungle juice came out and i told a guy confidently that he was growing with GH i could taste it in his bud and he kindly replied NOPE YOUR WRONG!!!! I USE JUNGLE JUICE!! ya thats wayyyyyy different then gen hydro lol thats when i learned that they really did copy GH closely with that line.:dunce:

I just placed an order debating between kushberry and g13 labs blue og... went with the blue og because of no grow/smoke reports of kushberry.

just finished out a grow of this dna kushberry, and it took 14 weeks 12/12 and it yielded just over 4oz off 1 plant, witch i lst the hell out of her and i was disapointed in the end results.
ive grown a lot of dna/rp gear with excelent results, must of just been a bad bean.

i used humboldt nutrients 3 part naturals in soil.my first time using it and i didnt care much for it but this time im using nector for the gods and age old organics hope i get better results.i also might not have been using the hn correctly i dont know for sure but i had alot of deficiencies all and all the bud came out frosty as hell. for my past grows i used fox farm lol it came out nice every time but that taste man......no good. i also grew some barneys farm lsd and ive read alot of good about that strain but it didnt do it for me it had a different smell\taste earthy nutty pinesol and a little lemon zest.sour kush was mega lemony and suuuuper frosty had the exact smell of those lemon sour head candies.i had a pineapple express from g13 but it went hermie and i scraped it:(. after this go i think im going to try out some sannies seeds price is ridiculous and the strains seem bomb!

dna\rp have nice genetics i doubt they would sell crap.there might be phenos that arent as desirable as others but im hoping this one is nice its already shooting up faster than the rest lol!im thinking shes a great yielder also!! knock on wood......

i rock age old organics myself and il promise you no lemon flavor caused from it. i just use the grow and bloom as a base and i use a lot more beyond just that but thats a good start. get yourself some General organics Cal mag or some powdered glacial rock from vital earth. i use both and actually i use a third Cal mag nute called Mr. mucha stash. i use very little of the 2 liquid calmags but they are 2 different cal mags so i figure its gotta be makin it more available.

i use a couple other bloom nutes too. earth juice bloom to be exact along with a few other things but with this set up i can vouch its capable of growing 100% quality bud. its not the nutes fault anymore ya know what i mean? either i did something wrong or my genetics sucked if my bud comes out bad now that I'm rockin age old.

i see your in MI, mr mucha stash is a MI made product. i found it at a local shop and i like it a lot. especially in bloom Its eliminated yellowing. its 4 - 0 - 0 so you gotta watch out on seedlings and young clones. even warns ya on the bottle!

im going to have to check it out my next trip to the shop. im new to the organics i used to use miracle grow :spew:not good either lol! ive been learning more and more every grow and organics rock i dont care what people say about yield i haven't seen a reduction actually my yields seem better although im using different genetics but they are good for me and the smell and taste are way better and stronger.i just switched from 400 to 600w so i bet ill see a difference with that too.

i think that lemon smell/taste is coming from the og dna uses because every thing ive gad from them has og in it the kandy kush is og/tw and the sour kush is sour d/og

wellllllll technically your only rocking organic based. it is slightly better then your normal salt metal bomb BUT... its not as clean as say sub super soil. or TLO of any kind really. i use some living life in my soil but the majority of my nutrition is fed to my plants through chelating agents. this is hydroponics in every sense of the word.

Now i top dress with earth juice Rainbow mix bloom and powdered glacial rock so i never have to get over 400 ppm. my stuff burns white and smooth, i really don't think it could get much smoother so i don't bother with trying to go the sub super soil route. i suck at mixing something up and getting it right the first time. i like being able to adjust as i go.

all in all some of the best cleanest bud in the world was grown with advanced nutes with cancer causing agents but it got a proper flush and no ones the wiser. on the other hand I've had TLO that was done slightly wrong and it burned BLACK and burned your throat so bad. so i guess just make sure you clean it out for however your doing it is the lesson i learned. great bud can be grown whatever way works for you! :weed:

i agree. if its flushed right you can get a smooth smoke.and i never understood the organic based thing all natural seems close enough to organic to me.some people go all out and get poo from farmers and have worm farms and whatnot. That's all well and good but id rather drop some coin in a good hydro shop and get a good nute line I'm no soil expert and i would like to try the super soil some time too I'm experimenting still so im open to anything im done with chems though lol! im sure it can taste just as good but honestly using natural organic or organic based ive really noticed a difference. and when you say glacial rock are you talking azomite or something like that? i still need to get a ppm meter ive been using spring water but i would like to get a r/o system soon.i notice too that the chelated nutes are like crack lol! i noticed the diff by the next day .organic or naturals take time to tell if you did it right so a little less forgiving imo..

ya i think it is like a canadian azomite basically. just a bunch of micro nutrients and silicon and shit. good stuff! and the organic based is a lot more available to the plants then the straight chems. (from what I've been told) the plants accept it better.

check out dark energy. its "organic" amino acids but its also got a chelating agent shot in it. its like roids!

beneficial biologics powdered humic and powdered kelp are awesome too. just as good as fossil fuel and nitrozime at 1/4 of the cost. barely use any of it per bucket too. they are both very high in potassium and I've found with these organic based i needed the potassium badly so they worked out perfectly for me.

Budswel is your friend too. yellow gallon old timer mix. liquid bat guano and worm castings and all kinds of good stuff (save the room on a worm farm!)

Everyone has told me i need to Cook the soil for the azomite to be effective.i have some greensand and threw it in my soil but everyone says the microbs need to break it down first.do you see any changes. When you use the rock dust? I also have some humisoil its alaskan hummus my shop gave me a free bag of it so ill be using it in a microbe brew.

idk bout that i haven't heard all that. i was just using the rock dust for a while for my only cal mag. it seemed to do the trick until late flower when they'd start asking for more mag. i know the silica in it is usable by the plants, my plants have gotten much stronger since i started using it. much stiffer branches now. idk maybe powdered glacial rock differs from azomite somehow? idk tho.
