That's a great pin set. I think your mycelium is just under the surface. That means you did everything right. Just keep doing what you did. Fanning is over rated though. Keep your co2 ppm below 4 or 5 thousand ppm and you neednt fan all the time.

Yeah fanning is outdated. A couple small holes is plenty of air exchange, and a lot of people don’t even do that anymore.


if you’re growing in coir you don’t need to worry about contam from opening it though. That’s another outdated thing that doesn’t even make sense if you think about it. People say don’t open the tub or it’ll get mold, but also open it and fan filthy air into three times a day:roll:

Co2 is heavier than air. If one directs the general flow of air downward, by, perhaps putting a few holes low on your fruiting chamber and smaller holes high up in that same container, gravity will likely take care of normal air exchange.

Pay attention to humidity. If you see cracks in the caps, mist more frequently. Be sure your casing remains moist, especially between flushes.

If your stipe grows too long, there is likely too much co2 and your fruit is struggling to rise above the high concentration. But this is advised by light. If your fruit is bending toward the light and they are stretching, give them more light but you will find that light, after initial pin set, is not essential. Just a few minutes of intense light per day should be fine. Contamination of substrate is a function of ph and not spore load (to an extent anyway...enough contam spores will override ph)

Lol yeah man the overnight growth spurt is crazy when it hits. That main cluster is good to go, prob harvest the whole tub tomorrow

Yeah, and as importantly... the spores can be a real pain in the ass. They stain the caps, cover the substrate, stick to your fingers and can even color your walls.

Let alone what it does to your chamber. Always better to just pick them a little early.
