Anybody else having trouble trying to unload their crop?

When I grew hydroponically I always flushed at least a week or so before cutting them down.

Now that I'm growing in soil, I just stop giving them nutes at around week 6 or 7 and just feed with plain R/O water.

When the trichs are ready, I cut'em down.

i grow hydroponicly. RW and clay. i use a generic chem 3-part put out by my local shop($17 a gallon!) but i mix it with some organic FF and organics by Roots Organics. i shift my mix to be heavier on the organics toward the end of flower. lots of additives as well. ill list them if you want.

Yes, could you? I'm curious.

There's a 3 part that I'm trying out from Advanced Nutrients on a plant to see how well it works.
The bottles read; Grow, Micro, and Bloom.
It was cheap. I think i paid like $45 or something for the set. I thought I'd give it a try.

For my crops I use Advance Nutrients Grow with pretty much all of the additives including Voodoo, Piranha, & Tarantula.
During bloom I use Connoisseur.

you didnt get 3 gallons for $45 did you? if so im switching to advanced! ive been wrong plenty of times but i thought that shit was really expensive.

the 3 part i use comes from a midwest hydr chain called brew n grow, they have a website you can order from www.altgarden.com . the grow formula is equal parts micro and grow and the bloom is equal parts micro and bloom with a half part grow. i mix the grow like above but i do the bloom like this - one part micro, half part grow, half part bloom, half part FF big bloom(organic), half part Roots Organics HPK (0-5-4 and organic).

then i check my ppm, anything i add after this has little or nothing to do with NPK so i stop counting here.

grow additives are all per gallon - 5ml calmag, 5ml fulvic acid, 10ml humic acid, 8ml hygrozyme, and about 5ml mollasses.

bloom additives also per gallon - 10ml calmag, 5ml fulvic, 20ml humic, 8ml hygrozyme, about 10ml mollasses.

i treat with mycho fungi and pyrophylitic silica clay at transplant and every 3 wks.

i think thats it.

I got 3 quarts for $45.
I didn't want to buy the gallon size, just in case it was crap.

Looks like you got a nice recipe there. I might try that on a plant to see how it works.
Instead of hygrozyme, I like to use Liquid Karma. Ever try it?

nope, ive only ever used one GH product and thats Rare Earth, its the silicate clay i use. its a really cheap source of silica plus it has 18%leonardite which is basicaly slow-release humic acid.

is liquid karma an enzyme formula? i thought it was something else.

Your right, I was thinking of something else. I meant to say I use Nitrozyme.

You know what that means....
Time to smoke my vitamin C. :bigjoint:

Lol at people in NY saying indoor is better. If only you lived in the tropics you would understand there is no comparison!

Here in SoCal the clubs are paying $4k per pound for the best ... and selling it for 60-80 per 8th.

Retail from growers is 60 an 8th, 120 a quarter, 400 an ounce.

On the cost of setting up: I got to figuring out how much money I've spent on my grow and without figuring replacing bulbs and ballasts and things like that, and only figuring the initial set up ... it came out to $3500. And that's for growing only 6 plants to stay in compliance with the laws for medical users. I built my own cabinets for cuttings, vegging/moms, flowering and drying. Everything is quality equipment ... and I've been growing in the same space, using the same equipment, for the past ten years now.

Oh yeah, one more thing ... my flowers look like Greyskulls' pictures. Like him, I've discovered that if you want real quality, you have to put real quality into it. Putting real quality into it, cost real money. If you want to smoke that kind of quality, you'll have to pay for it. ... unless you're a friend, of course.

A friend of mine used to sell at reduced prices to medical users. He moved out of state, but kept his "patients." He used to mail to his people if they would buy at least an ounce at a time. He showed me how he prepared the mail ... stealthy as hell.

Sorry to say though ... my friend passed away a little over a year ago.

don't expect to be making as much as you make selling weed in the next few years.

if it gets legalized, you can say goodbye to gutrenching prices. good weed will actually be CHEAPER.

so even if you're having trouble unloading now, in a couple years when legislation starts passing, your prices are going to have to drop in half.

just letting you know, this century of pot smokers are not going to pay a ton of money for the same weed anymore, people are realizing how ridiculously cheap it is to grow, and how cheap it should be to sell.

you can tell I'm obviously not a big fan of selling weed. not that I'm against it, I'm just currently against the prices people pay for it, I think it should be atleast 50% cheaper.
what are you talkin about...its not easy growing dank..and its not cheap. the price of nutes, co2, and other bs gets kinda expensive...i bet you've never grown on a commercial scale..also...most clubs in norcal spend anywhere from 3800-4200 for dank purple..compare that to a couple years ago it would've only been 3200. take that same to a clun in socal, and you can pull close to 5k off it. especially if its kush. this legalization of pot is only gonna drive the price up. "cheap to grow".....who the hell is he kidding...

poplars have you ever taken an economics course?

I'm guessing not (or at least you didn't take one and pass, or you cheated).

It's simple - a given commodity is worth however much the consumer will pay for it. If the consumer no longer wants to pay the higher price, they will not buy. Demand goes down, price drops. If consumers buy a lot of the commodity at the given price and drive supply down, then price will go up.

It's OK that you don't think that's how the world should work. However, it does. Money spent to produce a given product has little to do with the price it can be sold for.

If my income was dependant on weed, I'd start looking for a plan B.
At least in the US some states are easing up on the laws.
I have no way of knowing, but I would guess that in California more people are growning.
More supply is going to hurt nearby prices.

Just my guess, I might be wrong.

But then again, I don't mix $ with pot, that's when things start getting ugly.

if ur good at something and can provide a service that most people can not..a service that helps people at that..and at 4k for premo, and as mentioned...alot of people appreciate payn 4k for top shelf. 2 lower the prices is gonna just make more middle men, instead of medicine consumers..
