Nice piece of wood...that ought to turn out nice. My uncle was one hell of a wood craftsman.....he had some beautiful pieces. He made me a custom pack saddle made out of oak......I got tired of Fucking around with the store bought ones....they could not handle the punishment that gets dished out when your up in them rugged horse trails...horses bang the pack up against the trees and before long alls that was left was fire wood....so I asked ol unk to make me lifer...and thats just what he did....That pack saddle I have now has been with me 20 years and its as tight as the day it left his shop....I'm giving it to my son pretty soon....along with my Circle Y saddle.....young generations turn to get up into that wilderness and explore....I had my boy out there with me since he was knee high to a grass hopper.....now he knows them mountains as well or better then pops....Thats something no one can take from you...........

When I first met my gal.....first thing I told her was there are just two things you can never have or try to take from me......everything else is yours....First, my family and second them mountains .....shes been with me ever since....She was the best catch of my life boys......Hunting, fishing all that stuff is great but nothing takes the place of a good women!!!!!!!!

I haven't hunted for 40 years. that felony stopped that.
So I do have a question. We hung up a seed thing in the shape of a bell for the birds but the squirrels eat it also.
Last week one of the squirrels fell and didn't move and when it did get up it fell over again. It's tail isn't as big as the other ones so I can tell one from the other. So the same one was sitting and just fell over today. I think something is wrong with it. If it has some disease I don't want it to spread but I don't want to kill it if it just has like epilepsy or something. What do ya think?

I would probably remove it from the local wildlife pool.
It doesn't sound like it's too healthy to me.

Pretty interesting A.......I have the book. Its a good read......Did you see the Poem....is it posted on line?
Yes it is.

As I have gone alone in there
And with my treasures bold,
I can keep my secret where,
And hint of riches new and old.

Begin it where warm waters halt
And take it in the canyon down,
Not far, but too far to walk.
Put in below the home of Brown.

From there it's no place for the meek,
The end is ever drawing nigh;
There'll be no paddle up your creek,
Just heavy loads and water high.

If you've been wise and found the blaze,
Look quickly down, your quest to cease,
But tarry scant with marvel gaze,
Just take the chest and go in peace.

So why is it that I must go
And leave my trove for all to seek?
The answer I already know,
I've done it tired, and now I'm weak.

So hear me all and listen good,
Your effort will be worth the cold.
If you are brave and in the wood
I give you title to the gold.
