Antheis grows cannabis

hello, all
i've decided its time to put down some roots over here after 'just hanging out' in other threads.

i'm growing in two wooden boxes that i built that are 25" wide and 45" long. i have 240w of homemade leds lighting this area giving me a hair over 30watts/sqft.
i have had a few tweaks since building the boxes - i started with just a bed but have since changed them both to SIPs (sub-irrigated planters) with a reservoir of 12-14 gallons (US).
my current grow for box one started back in late feb.
here it is when first transplanted IMG_2026.JPG
i seemed to have been falling over whilst taking this one.
the genetics are: backrow l2r: Chocolate Diesel S1#3, CDs1#2, BTB3, BTB4. front: CD#1, apollo11 x (f13xa11), BTB1, BTB2.
BTB is beyond the brain from mandala seeds from 2011.

here they are on 7 apr. about two weeks into flower

as you can see they got away from me. i tried to air layer clone the BTBs and they just took off once they got acclimated to the sip and i had to abandon the air layer but was able to back up everything in the box.
about ten days ago i pollinated the box with a11 x (f13xa11) pollen from 6 males that i had collected from an open pollination two years ago.
here are a few budshots from tonight:
first up is BTB and due to the tangled mess i don't know from which plant

SIP 2
in SIP#2 i have my purple pole dancer (jimmie rustler x buckeye purple) from @antonioverde which was a freebie from last years 4/20 sale. this is a mother plant that i am flowering out. she's not retired i just needed to refresh the cut i had because she was getting old.
from this on 20 febIMG_2025.JPG
to this on 4 apr
PPD 01.JPG
it didn't take her long to get acclimated to her new bed and really start bushing out and making biomass. here she is six days later on 10 apr under 16/8 light schedule.
PPD 104.JPG
by 14apr i had to trim a few branches to give room to CD#1 and i put in a scrog to stretch her out a bit and control the stretch of CD#1.
IMG_2125.JPG
i let them fill out a bit more until 20 apr when i flipped them to 12/12. it took about a week to for them to start flowering
and here they are today, 1 may
BOX2 group2.JPG
ppd does not stretch a lot, but i have not flowered out one this big before so she may act differently. the last two times i ran her she finished under 60 days, however, i did not start counting days until she started to flower. since i flipped on 4/20 it'll be easier to count days from flip this time.
the chocolate diesel does love to stretch and i'm ready for it this time.
any comments or questions are welcome.

@Useful Seeds Chocolate Diesel just looks amazing. i fondled some lower buds to get a good sniff and couldn't really place it. while i was working i drove by an old cj7 on super swampers - had to be at least 44" tires - it sounded like it big block (ford/chevy idk) in it and then it hit me. that thing smelled just like this chocolate diesel. he was running rich and i'm feeling rich. every time i look at these buds i feel like i'm looking at boobs in real life for the first time.CD#2 1503.JPGCD#2 1504.JPGCD#2 1505.JPGCD#2 1506.JPGCD#2 1507.JPGCD#2 1508.JPGCD#2 1509.JPGCD#2 1510.JPG
he's still putting this out because of the demand and i'd highly recommend picking up a pack if you're quick on the refresh at your favorite seedbank.

Beyond the Brain

they kicked my ass with the stretch. now they're kicking my nose with the smells. its like lemon starburst and dr. bronner's lavender soap.
buds are starting to swell and seeds are coming in.

Apollo bx (a11 x [f13xa11])
she's smelling really sweet and tropical. like pineapple and papaya. frost is through the roof and seeds are starting to split bracts. the fuzz in the first picture is from a pipe cleaner i rubbed on her to pick up smells.

she's leafy and looks like a bitch to trim, but frankly my dear, i don't give a damn.
