Bushed! on Gonzo, Contractor Assaults & Blackwater

Wednesday’s Bushed! segment on Countdown looks at Attorney General Micheal Mukasey reversing Gonzo’s practice of allowing Justice Department staffers to have full access to the White House. Republican congressman Ted Poe revealed that since being told about a KBR employee being gang raped and held against her will, he has received word from three more women who say they have been sexually assaulted by co-workers, and more Blackwater – shooting the dog belonging to New York Times staffers in Iraq.

Bushed! on Waterboarding, Vistor Logs & Mas Gonzo

Monday’s Bushed! segment on Countdown, that keeps you up to date on the plethora of Bush scandals, starts with waterboarding and the news that new Attorney General Michael Mukasey told the CIA not to cooperate with Congress in their torture tape investigation. How does pushing that nomination through seem now, Schumer? Next was the matter of the White House visitor logs, for which a judge ruled yesterday that they ARE a matter of public record (even money odds that the White House will continue to fight it) and finally, more Gonzo fun — poor guy had his ABA Lawyer of the Year award taken away. Guess who else was in the running for that title? A hint: Regent and Duke…

Here's something really interesting about the NIE

Dan Abrams: The Bush Administration’s Lost Trust

Dan Abrams discusses the scrambling the Bush administration is now doing after a judge ordered a hearing on the destroyed CIA tapes and formerly reliable supporters like Rep. Pete Hoesktra have signaled that they may have gone too far this time and will have to face the music.
On a side note, can I get a W00t! for Abrams’ line up? When was the last time you saw two smart, progressive pundits up against a single conservative?

I keep saying this ... but with all the reports and evidence of crimes committed by this regime ... you have to be an idiot or elite to support these lawless bastards ... and since the elite are 1% that means there are a lot of idiots running around ...:spew:

Geeze, you'd think out of the 535, someone would have the balls to hold these assholes feet to the fire, then again, interupting business as usual is not something very likely.

Tortures Like Us

WMP

Keith Olbermann speaks with retired Lt. Cmdr. Charles Swift (whose successful representation of the Hamdan case brought to light many of the atrocities happening at Guantanamo) about the sad and disturbing news that Canada has placed the U.S. on a watch list–along with Iran, China, Syria and others–for being a country that tortures its prisoners, due in no small part to our criminally shameful treatment of Canadians Maher ArarOmar Khadr (imprisoned in Guantanamo at the age of 15). and
What a proud legacy Bush and Cheney will leave this country with.

GR I suspect that you are young enough to be around when history judges GWB and the Bush haters in somewhat different terms than you do now... alas, I will probably not be around when the historical judgment pronounced on GWB makes your eyes shoot blood and all of the hair fall out of your head. My hunch is that the exact opposite of what you now perceive to be the "truth" will be well established as historical fact.
History can be a real bitch...only time will tell if my hunch is correct.
Hopefully you will remember me when it bites you on the lip!!!

You have demonstrated to the entire board just how stupid you truly are ... the holocaust was over sixty years ago ... should we get over that as well? Go back and crawl back under your rock.

It must be pointed out, gul rebal, that your position on the legitimacy of GWB's administration must be taken with a pound of salt. After all, it was only a few days ago you compared the 2000 election results with the holocaust. In a mind as warped as yours, history is no teacher, just a set of facts used to compare recent events to, and always in the negative. Bush is Hitler, 2000 is as bad as the holocaust, Iraq is Vietnam, this era is reminiscent of the depression era, the evil US is striving for the global European domination of centuries past, etc. etc. etc. By the way, what happened to the SE thread? Did you get tired of talking to yourself and abandon it?

Well dumdiane ... only a nazi bushies freak like yourself would take a well establish fact with a pound of salt ...

No ... it was you that stupidly said eight years have past since the crime of election fraud took place and to get over it ... I used the holocaust to demonstrate you don't forget a crime against the people ... no matter how long ... you got a lot of nerve talking about a warped mind ... but that's a big trait of bushies ... projecting their own short comings on others ... just like their war criminal leaders ...

... no Hiltler was far more intelligent ... no ... Iraq is far worst than Vietnam ... etc ..
By the way, what happened to the SE thread? Did you get tired of talking to yourself and abandon it?
Yeah ... you wish I was talking to myself ... It must make you uncomfortable to look so foolish ...

"Nazi" "bushies"....exactly the point I previously made. "history is no teacher, just a set of facts used to compare recent events to, and always in the negative." Thanks for the excellent example gul rebal!

No ...I said that eight years has passed since you lost your mind. Stark raving mad. But what do I know, you could have just gravitated to this extreme position because you were already, and have always been, nuts. Anyhow, when talking about the Supreme Court of the United States of America, (I bet you hate seeing that typed out, the United States of America), deciding that another recount in Florida was frivolous, and the killing of six million humans in an act of genocide are tantamount, your nuts. And you talk of projection. Arguing with a lib, who by their very nature must project in order to remain "right" & "sane", about who is projecting their shortcomings on others, you or me, is just as frivolous as Florida 2000. "War criminal" "leaders", another great example, I owe you.

... no Hiltler was far more intelligent ... no ... Iraq is far worst than Vietnam ... etc ..

etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.........

Yeah ... you wish I was talking to myself ... It must make you uncomfortable to look so foolish ...

Study: False statements preceded war

[snip]
WASHINGTON - A study by two nonprofit journalism organizations found that President Bush and top administration officials issued hundreds of false statements about the national security threat from Iraq in the two years following the 2001 terrorist attacks.

The study counted 935 false statements in the two-year period. It found that in speeches, briefings, interviews and other venues, Bush and administration officials stated unequivocally on at least 532 occasions that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction or was trying to produce or obtain them or had links to al-Qaida or both.

... and the illegitimate regime's claim that the international community believe Iraq has WMD is bullshit ... China, Russia, and France didn't buy it and was going to vote against war ... that why the illegitimate bush regime didn't go back for the second UN resolution vote.

Bushco Lied Hundreds of Times About Iraq ...
Bill Moyers did a wonderful job of exposing the trumped up case the WH made for war with Iraq with a great special called “Buying the War” which focused on the the media and their role in this travesty. Obviously this new report doesn’t come as a shock to anyone in the liberal blogosphere, but I guess if FOX News runs an AP story about these claims then I guess Bill O’Reilly can’t say it’s “a hit job from the liberal media and NBC.” Sorry, I forgot who I was dealing with for a moment.

I dug into the wonderful C&L archives for a perfect example of their lies in action. (originally posted on 02/09/07 ) Here’s Cheney getting caught by Gloria Borger spreading false information about al-Qaeda having ties to Iraq and then denying it almost three years later. Let’s roll the tape.
WMP

In ‘01, Cheney said this on MTP:
CHENEY: It‘s been pretty well confirmed that he did go to Prague and he did meet with a senior official of the Iraqi intelligence service in Czechoslovakia last April.
on 6/19/04 CNBC, he said:
GLORIA BORGER, TV SHOW HOST: You have said in the past that it was, quote, “pretty well confirmed.”
CHENEY: No, I never said that. BORGER: OK.
CHENEY: I never said that. BORGER: I think that is…
CHENEY: Absolutely not.

Hey GR, us normal people know all about these crimes. Are you trying to convince the crazies and the fascists. Me rhinks it's like pissing into the wind. These tards (Good Word) are never going to buy any of these facts. They live in some little fantasy world where the only thing that matters is the Bush Tax cuts, and fuck everything else. I realize you are trying to inform them but it is hopeless. I've been doing this for over 2 years and still no acknowledgement. It's like we're wasting bandwidth. We should move on and only confront them when they post bullshit, which is about every time they post, but anyway feel free to give them hell. I certainly agree with your assesment of the Bush regime.

1. If you are one of the "normal" people then I want the fuck out of the asylum.

2. You've made that threat about moving on in the past. You've never kept your word on this issue. Must be something about us you like. Personally, I think you love abuse. :blsmoke:

I know med ... I'm not trying to convince them of anything ... I use them to show our viewing audience at home just how lame their thinking is ... politically speaking that is ...

...it's quite boring preaching to the choir ... wouldn't you agree ... these bushies are undoubtedly doing a great service keeping the politically frustrated over the corruption from going into the streets and blowing people away ...

What, scared to write the Presidents name when you say you would like to "kill him"? I'm not surprised. You seem to be scared of many things, mainly the truth. Thats probably why you and GR get along so royally.

Your "viewing audience"? People who click on this thread undoubtedly see the mammoth pile of attachments you post and move on. If you can't get to the point, ever, you don't have a point.
