Ya, 50 bucks is worth it for sure. Probably a 150 g or more harvest easily. Id say its worth the couple bucks....right? Lol

yeah i'm gonna do something, that means the lights i had for the new shop are shit too. if i got to go buy new lights for the shop i believe i'll go t5 ho, they last longer. the led high bays are still testie.

hanging a mh would give me the room to get the outdoor crop started, as well as better lights for the girls. my diesel's are under leds, and i learned something. leds can bleach my plants, so the lights got raised yesterday. i really like what i see with leds, so i'm looking at building my own. got turned on to some great warm white chips with a 92 cri. maybe add some red and blues to boot.

Coverage is where your going to have problems with leds. Youll probably still end up running the cfls to help it out. They always say covers like 4x4 or whatever and it doesnt. Its funny. My hids are like one and done for me but my floros and my leds i always want to upgrade to hids. Sucks because i spent good money on those and now i have to buy somthing to replace them.

they also have a plasma light now, but no way in hell i could afford one. the hid's are easy and proved to work. they just make more heat then i can handle right now. once i have a place to grow steady in, i'll have a a/c setup. led's have came a long way, but still have a ways to go. only one thing they can do is get better. our floro's are going to be done away with because of having mercury in them, as well as neon's. one thing never changes, is everything changes.

It wont be that bad gigs. Even that 400 wont be that bad. Two 1000s....thatll raise the temps though

i was thinking about taking the 42 watt cfl out and putting the hps in it's place, but i wonder how well the 4-55 watt cfl's will hold up to the heat from the hps being between them.
It wont be that bad gigs. Even that 400 wont be that bad. Two 1000s....thatll raise the temps though

If you could id use the cfls for side light and let the 100 run the middle. You could probably run a 2x4 area with more than sufficient light at a levelish light height.

that is what i'm trying to figure out now. with the mh reflector the heat from the bulbs goes up through the hole in the top and out to the exhaust fan. i had the plates that i'm using for the side lights on top with the 55 watt bulbs and was having a heat problem. now that it is getting warmer i could see some bad heat. i took a temp gun home yesterday and the hps was double the heat of the 42 watt cfl. i am thinking about a hood that is hooked to the fan to draw the heat out. i got picks of the light setup in the reflector and will post them later when i get home. temp this morning was 62º and going to 69º, i bet we hit the 70's. i set the girls out to get some sun.

this is the light setup inside the reflector. i was thinking about taking the middle bulb (42 w cfl) out and putting the 100 w hps in it's place. i can set the ballast out side on top of the box. my main worry about doing that way is the heat, rather it be the heat on the 4-55 w cfl's or it being to close to the ladies.

The ones ive used were on Y splitters with just two dangelin. I had two sets and a ufo in the middle. Bit i think i had more space than what you have to work with so it should be good if its not too hot.

shit bro i didn't have no money to spend on this grow. right now my bills pretty much take everything we bring in. so i went through all the stashes. when we moved into the house we put ceiling fans in every room. when we remodeled, we did it again. that was a four bulber from the living room fan. i took the pull chain out and added the center bulb. mater of fact, every socket in my box came from the remodel. how you doing bro? hope well. peacr

Ah shit, now i can see the skeleton of the ceiling fan in there! Im alright. Just picked up a sun system 2 400 watt switchable mh/hps light with an internal ballast for 150 bucks for a little hydro side project im working on. I havent got er set up yet but im hoping to pull around 8 ozs off of a 60 day in flower grow. Its what im aiming for anyway. Ill let you know how it turns out.
