Last year I had no prep so I just dug holes and filled them in. If I was going into the ground again this season I would till. I have a bunch of clay in there and nothing but weeds and blackberries grow in there unless I do something back there. :)

Outside update time!

Well got some more shit done in the yard today. Put down some weedblock and got a shade tarp and the sides on the carport yesterday. I decided to not do a top just yet but have the link for the 6 mil sheeting on hand and ready for when I need it. As you can see there are 2 windows on the back panel so that I can vent it a little more on the warmer days. I think I will opt for a tan mesh tarp to cover the front.

Next step is to finish the weed block and stake down the edges, tighten up the sides and back on the tarps to make them a little sturdier, and get my pot positions sorted our so I can run the drip lines to them.

The Kens GDP clones are doing well and the clones that I took from the Blue Widow and Alohaberry. No roots that I can see just yet but I'm not in any hurry. I have 1 Ocean Kush popped right now that is doing it's thing and I decided to pop the rest of them just to see what happens. Also tossed in about 10 Burmese Kush seeds that I got from jhod to see what happens. Can't grow anything if you don't pop the seeds right?

Everything seems to be coming together and there is a possibility of me getting some really nice genetics to play with this season. I just hope that I can get it all to finish before my wedding in Oct.

So far 20 gallon candidates are Kens GDP and Blue Widow. Not sure on the Alohaberry just yet. I want to sample some of the indoor that I have flowering now before I dedicate a pot to her.

Question that I have for those that are going to running supersoil of some sort. How much are you guys tossing in the pots and where? I was thinking about doing the bottom of the pot with Kellogs Patio Plus, do about 10 gallons of supersoil, then more Patio Plus and topdressing as needed towards the end with more supersoil and using Maxsea as needed. Should I be able to make it through the season with just water other than the Maxsea?

All comments and suggestions welcome. :)

My plan is to run supersoil for the first time this year also. I'm gonna do different amounts for different strains, but still keeping it pretty basic. I'm pretty much just gonna go bottom 1/2 super soil, top 1/2 roots(or whatever I can find locally) for all my Indicas and something more like bottom 1/3 super soil for Sativas. I figured I might as well experiment a little and see what works best this season. This thread is gonna be crazy around harvest time too, all this hard work will pay off! Its looking great so far.

Damn bro looking very good. Shit when you get a chance come tru we'll smoke a bowl of that aloha berry you'll propably want to do atleast 1 in there seriously out door 2 years ago she was a beast indoor I've been able to keep her small and stalky. All good tho we defianetly need to get you a few of my OG Kush I should maybe have a few extras I hope.

Weed nerd episode 32

Sub talks about super soil application and how much to use

Indicas like querkle and bubba, and cheese strains he does 1/2 of the pot or less

Hybrids about 1/2 the pot

And sativa leanin strains like jacks cleaner, jack the ripper, vortex, Apollo 13 he gives up to 2/3 of the pot.

If its obvious that it needs more u can top dress with it.

THANKS!

I actually watched that episode this weekend which made me ask that question. I will probably go with 1/2 . I will be working with the same height that I was working with last season but the ability to raise the roof if needed. :)

Looking forward to those being ready. :) I can't wait to get my pots out there. :) Gotta wait for the soil first though. LOL I think that I am about 4 months ahead of myself this season. I may be too ready. LOL

Do it man! I feel so much better having it up. Just knowing that I can let them get 6' tall without anyone seeing them and once I get another shade tarp up I think I will be all set to toss some ladies out there. Of course it will just be to see what happens but if the weather is permitting..... :)
