Padwan,

Many people in Africa are starving and lacking water. The demand there is HUGE!!! If demand creates wealth, why isnt Africa the wealthiest place on the planet?

You agreed with me in the first paragraph. The employees compensation is less than the employers benefit. BOTH people gain something.

Because government has forced inflation and spending and discouraged saving and it is borrowed 20 trillion dollars which has devalued the dollar and made everything more expensive. Profits got eaten up by increased costs of materials, taxes and regulation.

People are not divided into classes. When you are a teenager you are almost certainly poor. Many people get good jobs and move through middle class to upper class as they age. Life is not as static as you portray it.
Maybe you should invest in some gold

How do you plan on selling anything if there's no demand for it?

Last time I checked, US supermarkets weren't sporting bare shelves and US auto manufacturers weren't halting production due to lack of glass or rubber or metal. I think we've got the supply side of things pretty well covered. Hell, we even pay some corporations exuberant government subsidies that come out of your and my pocket!

"We've been giving the supply side of the economy breaks on breaks on breaks for decades, but anything giving a break to the demand side of the economy is "an absolute disaster for our economy."" -TheTelephone

The above sentiment covers it perfectly. Even the economists on your side of the argument have admitted defeat, that the bullshit they've espoused for decades and the bullshit you've eaten up like pork rinds at a southern wedding is nonsense. Friedman, Greenspan, Laffer.. all have admitted the policies they pushed have largely failed yet you still cling to them like religion.

There isn't demand in those places, same as here because people don't have disposable income necessary to foster it

What a mystery

If people did have excess money to spend, demand would be high and all income levels would prosper, not just the rich

I've been advocating policy that puts more money into more hands, you've been advocating policy that takes more money from poor and middle-class people and redistributes it to the rich. Apparently you're not aware that our economy runs on consumption and when people can't consume, the economy can't properly function. This isn't rocket science.

Apparently you are not aware that the rich provide jobs and the poor and middle class need them. You make jobs more expensive and thus more scarce and wonder why there are no jobs. And then you think... Hey, lets make all those jobs more expensive without any additional increase in revenue. You are the one making the poor - poorer in the name of false compassion.

So there is no demand in Africa for food because people dont have money? I think they still want food. That is demand.

Make America great again like when the rich paid a much higher tax rate and shit like hedge funds didn't exist?
Hedge funding has been around for a long time. It only got ridiculously profitable when it started being subsidized by the rest of us; such as carrying losses forward.

With negative tax rates, how much easier can it get for the wealthy?

"Nothing you say will convince me that the thing we exhale is causing the planet to warm, why? Because if the government can mandate a tax on CO2 emissions then sooner or later you'll be taxed to simply be allowed to breath. The excuse will be "we're not saying if you don't pay the tax we will kill you, we're saying if you don't pay the tax then you can breath anymore" Think that is absurd? Look at Switzerland, I believe, where they're thinking of putting higher taxes on beef to encourage less meat consumption because cows pollute too much" -propshaft

That's comedy. What's even funnier is how many people will take it at face value.
