Hey guys...I’m day 20 now into my cabinet grow and I’m absolutely at a loss in regards to determining if I’ve been over watering or underwatering.

Soil: Root farm Organic Hydro potting soil
Organic Worm Castings no brand legitimately organic

mix is 70/30.

the one plant looks is looking good but it’s the first set of pictures that’s in question.

The pots Are light when I pick them up. What I don’t understand is if this is an underwater issue how do I soak the whole pot without drowning the plant. Or are my plants not even at the stage where that much water is needed that the whole pot is wet.

Any opinions are greatly appreciated.

.

You can under water and over water at the same time.

These terms refer to both the frequency and quantity of the water.

If you water a little bit each day, enough to wet the top of your pot, you are underwatering because you didn't soak the pot and the bottom roots aren't getting watered or fed. But you're overwatering because you're watering everyday and this can cause damping.

Soak your pot until water runs out of the bottom, then wait until it is light to lift and soak again.

Under. At this point it is ok to water the entire pot. Should take a couple days to dry out. When it's light again, and you see the plant looking thirsty like she is now, ya water again. You can't DROWN a plant by watering it. Hydroponics all but proves that. You can however rot the roots with standing water and suffocate them by watering too often and not letting the roots get air.

should I be soaking like this when giving nuts or just straight PH’d water

Soak with both.

I feed my plants three times then water once, a two week cycle. I soak every time I water and feed.
