Growing is not that expensive. I have a friend who is a patient that grows two plants at a time in a small closet using 8 26w cfl bulbs, cheap $4.99 potting soil, Miracle Gro Bloom Booster ($6) start to finish, and $4 light timer and consistently pulls a 3 oz harvest every time.

Is it me or did he ask how to start a commercial grow in replacement of a job?

Did I mis-understand that hatrick? I'm all about someone growing bud for a living if you can pull it off, btw, so i'm just trying to understand what you're asking.

if thats the case a few cfl's and home depot potting soil ain't gonna work. i spent about $2k on my "ghetto" grow room and am lacking quite a few things i'd like. not that i'm a commercial op or anything. enough for me and to keep a few patients supplied. got a buddy in the business and has well over $10k invested in his rooms to keep his disp supplied aside from what he takes in from other growers. so if he's looking to start a new career gonna need $$$ and exp. i suggest starting small and gaining some knowledge and insight. find some used equip on cl and do a few small scale runs. hell people are doing good with cfl's so check that out in the indoor growing section. best of luck to ya

Yeah start off small and work your way up. Use whatever money you make/save from not having to buy weed and put it in your next grow. This will give you time to learn the craft and decide if it is really what you want to be doing. And you won't be putting in a ton of money into something and then failing right off the bat.
