In your opinion, can a child consent to sex with an adult?
Do you mean from a legal perspective or do you mean is it possible a young person has the wherewithal to provide
consent to somebody older than them and that young person may not be of "legal age" ?

I don't believe that chronological age is specifically / solely what gives an individual the ability to reason. Meaning some people will arrive at that point at a different age than others and some, unfortunately, remain stunted in their ability to reason even when they are as old as you.

Generally speaking the younger a person is, the less likely they have developed their own ability to reason though. I have a personal and cultural bias against large age discrepancies for sex partners, but many people do not.

About how old would you were when you gained the ability to understand the impact of your choices ?

Also, this is an interesting troll you have going here. Almost familiar (chuckle).

The fact you'd to post 4 paragraphs to what is essentially a binary question is very telling.

They are the supporters of the political machine whose emails gave us the Podesta pizza and hot dog fascination.

I'm sure you've noticed how they like to accuse others of the EXACT actions alleged of those they support and don't understand the incredulity of whom they accuse when they use the tactic.

Familiarity may stem from the ubiquitous nature of the playbook used or the multitude of facades a user can masquerade as.

You've been here longer than I and you STILL have the fortitude to try to reason with them?
Impressive reserve ya got there! ;)

Try the binary option this time.

In your opinion can a 10 year old consent to sex with an adult?

My opinion is no, under any circumstances, because I'm not a pedophile.

My opinion is you could be a pedophile, but I think you probably are not, although you seem to like to talk about it, which concerns me a little bit.

I already answered your first question. The gist of it, was, I wouldn't like it if a 10 year old who has the ability to give informed consent did, because I have a personal and cultural bias against it. You see, if you had read my post, you'd also have learned that I think the younger a person is, the less likely that person can provide informed consent.

Also, you may need help with remedial math. I mean, even a 10 year old can count to 5.

The last paragraph was pointless and unrelated to the question.

So... your answer is that you think a 10 year old can consent.

That's fucked up.

I stumbled in looking for a clean bathroom years ago and now stay for the amusement. Good grow section too.

No, my answer is in the FIVE paragraphs above. Your attempted answer for me, isn't my answer.

Also, you never mentioned at which age you think you gained the wherewithal to provide informed consent. My opinion is if you can't count to 5, you may lack the mental capacity.

No, I'm not preaching it. In fact I have a personal and cultural bias against it. I'm going to have to plead ignorance on the NAMBLA preachings, but I'll take your word for it, as you seem to have expansive knowledge in that area.

This is what I'm trying to get through to him, the answer is "no".
I thought the answer was 5 paragraphs ?
